Do not loop that coolant line. Run the back of the head directly to the radiator and run the back of the water pump to the factory oil cooler outlet on the intake side. That way the hottest water from the back of the head gets cooled off instead of going right back into the engine. Also the cooled water that goes to the cooler will now just go back into the engine. I used to run it looped it worked but this works way better!
I threw some eagle rods for about $500 in my ge with stock pistons, that would be the ticket for you too.it would handle a good deal more than the gte rods... I'm running the stock 10.5:1 compression still, which is definitely a player in making some solid power with less boost.
I would do new oem main bolts. When you add the arp mains you change the clamping force and can cause an egg shape with the main cap. so it would need to be machined to account for the difference. A lot of people get lucky I guess but just wanted to throw that out there.
I swear every time I come across your videos that motor is giving you nothing but issues, supercharged LS has the power and reliable, honnadels car be giving everyone the work, I'm ready to see your car like that doing the same thing lol
@@MattShulman hell yeah, well i hope you get it situated and dialed bro, i like that you actually pay attention to comments and write back, unlike the rest of the dick heads that make videos on here lmao
thats all we can do is try our best, im ready to see you slide with that new trans, it would sound super dope as a daily, that trans whine is bout as good as turbo noise

Glad to see you and Alberto working together 🔥🔥👏🏾
Great! Alberto has a big heart, we all know that! Good luck guys and have a very successful 2022. Happy New Year guys. Dutch regards, Nico.
You forgot to install the retainer washer for the timing belt on the crank! It goes before the lower timing cover.

Next engine will be fully built but this motor will do for now!
@@MattShulman I wish 2j stuff didn't make you have to take out a second mortgage on your house... Looking forward to seeing this done and ripping 🤙
Haven't seen yall in forever
Good to see you both together! 💪🏼
Shulman did the 1jz front sump oil pan fist on the 2jzgte block ?
More of Big Boost and Shulman
Gratz man hope the 1.5 works well for you 🤙
if i use piston and rod stock of GE. i mean not replace internal of GTE into GE, it can work?.
Stick GE’s aren’t great for power
yoo i know ricky he was on scottys channel, such a cool guy
Keep it rolling brother! 1.5jz gang 😎
Did you have to rebalance the rotating assemble?
I need him to do my 2jz nonvvti with a vvti head
Check bearing clearance?? ARP lube on the stud threads and washers?? Installing pistons without oil on the rings and skirts??
Everything was lubed
You know you have to line hone wen you use arp main studs
Yup! Block was line honed!
@@MattShulman with the studs on when line honed.
Line hone as the where crank sits. Not cylinder hone
@@BMXAndy1994 yeah obviously. I just didn’t include that in the video lol
Are you and lz still on good terms?
Yes!
I've been looking for a 1jz head everywhere. The prices are insane.
Big boost 💪🏼
Did you leave Adam
in b4 Freddy comes to tune it 😂
Hell no
@@MattShulman Why not ? Freddy seemed to be a fantastic tuner. What ever happened to him anyway ?

Block was line honed
Did you modify the head or block to fit them together? Would 1JZ VVTI head work with 2JZ ge block?
Non vvti doesn’t need modifying
Definitely get the injectors cleaned and flow tested
Bringing them this week!
doesnt the head need to be modified to fit on the 2jz block
To each their own. But no it doesn’t not. One oil port looks like it won’t work but it does. Many friends of mine have done it
@@MattShulman Fair enough. hope this engine does you well
Miss big boost
Big Boost!!!
The Thai Church blessed this build. Should last for many years....
Hahahah!
those were the aliens that are on the earth lol
Shulman you think Nicole adores your looks just curious
Arp mains ? Hope you line bored the mains
Yes..

Just poor stuff behind powering it. Fueling/tuning is the biggest issue and missing a coolant line. JZ’s are amazing I’ll never go LS hahah

Even though it was nice and shiny it still blew up bro lmao
Sell me the block off plate you threw on the floor🤦🏾♂️ I need it for my 1.5kz Mk3 Supra 😂
Tryin to be like Adam
Should have atleast used new rings
These were fine. And new rings are on back order like crazy
