Dylan and Erica, they may have Deftones influences, but I think they are influenced by Tesseract more in all of their songs, with Courtney growling more than their singer Daniel Tompkins. He does some, but not that often. I don't know if you've heard of them, they're from England. They do the programed keyboards, the soft guitar sounds and downtuned harder stuff with odd time signatures, just like this song does. It delivers everything to you, from incredible atmosphere, perfect musicianship and outstanding vocals. There's no way to watch this without getting goosebumps on your whole body. Courtney's voice is so beautiful, so emotional and her screams are hitting right in your heart. You sink into another world while watching this. You two should definitely check out all their other stuff you didn't listen to yet (there are still some gems left), it's totally worth and I'm 100% sure that you won't regret! I avoided this video for a long time because I figured if they didn't use prerecorded backing tracks it would suck. Well, they did and that served the music well. They would have to add band members otherwise. Jinjer does some backing vocal harmony tracks too and I like it. It works.

Loved the reaction guys. Honestly can't go with any spiritbox tracks. They're phenomenal. Two bands to throw your way that you'll absolutely love: Tallah and Sleep Token. Tallah blew me away with their album that came out a few weeks ago. Think Slipknot + Mudvayne but with a modern day feel. Absolutely incredible stuff. Overconfidence and LED would be my recs. And Sleep Token I can't really describe too well, but they'll make you cry, bang your head, and give you chills all within the same song. The Offering and Jaws would be my recs for them. Cheers

Mike, Bill, Courtney and (in this video, but not an official member) Ryan have all been doing this for a really long time. All 4 of them have an unreal level of control over what they’re doing. Mike said these songs were a struggle for him to write, mostly because the way he had been writing songs with IWABO right before this was “riff in certain key and time signature, another riff in the same key and time signature, repeat repeat repeat.” It was hard for him to get into writing that way because he was writing full songs in Fall In Archaea, and even harder for him to get out of when IWABO broke up. Also worth noting, they have a new song and video coming early December (4th, if my memory is correct from talking to Mike a couple weeks back). It’s gonna be so different from anything else they’ve done to this point.
