I love the old furniture! Years ago, my best friend rescued an old head board and foot board and dresser that was bound for the dump, it had been painted black and looked horrible, she took it home, stripped it down to the wood and refinished it.... it was soooo beautiful that it took my breath away to look at it, she was offered 5000.00 dollars for it but she wouldn't part with it, she is still using it today!!
Fun Fact abt me... I live in Arizona and I wake up at 3am EVERY SINGLE DAY so that I can do yard work before the heat and prep dinner... and I do Love the peace and quiet coffee on my back porch!! 😌

Also loved the Betty Crocker 1962 Cookbook. My Mom wore her copy out as she used it all the time. She actually was a home demonstration agent in rural Ohio and taught stay at home Moms how to use their garden vegetables and farm animals in their daily lives. Also taught sewing techniques as well. She was so gifted in all those areas and made fabulous clothes and Barbie clothes for my Barbie and cooked and baked fantastic food. She passed away at age 67, way too young from Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, but her memory lives on…🥰💜🍪🌞⭐️👗🧵🥗🍲

I have my grandmother's Better Homes cookbook on display in my kitchen, filled with her notes as well. I have quite a bit of antique furniture. I have an entire white oak bedroom set that my mom got for me when I was 19 that had belonged to another family when the grandmother was a child. I got it queen bed, trunk, dressing table with original mirror and dresser with original mirror for $200!
The green things next to the peppers are tomatillos,used for salsa or verde sauces. And I wish you would bought the first piece of furniture with the small mirror back ,I would have bought it off you !!!!
oyh my gosh, I w3ent to the next block over to an alley garage sale, anad the lady there gave me a table almost exactly like that, a little less thick, but the same style, same mirror, in a darker more reddish dark brown. I got it delivered because I live two houses up, and managed to donate a bunch of art supplies for their four grand daughters, FREEEEEEEEE, i LIVE IN A HOUSE BUILT 1911, AND THE PIECE WILL LOOK SO NICE. \
