3:40 an even better way to do it, from my experience, is finding a lengthy track you like and just play it on repeat forever, but NEVER outside of focused work. This way your brain is not surprised by a tune change in a track list, after some time you learn every little detail of the track and you sort of create a ritual which makes it so much easier to get into "the zone".
I really loved you video. Its basically saying that am not a superhuman, just am a human dedicated in each field. Am a programmer, a family guy, and also take care of myself. The basic of what every people should do, including me. Thank you very much
This schedule is what I found works for me after almost 3 years of remote work. my hyperfocus blocks tend to be way before work starts aka 5am - 9am and nearly right before bed. working from home was painful until this finally clicked for me.
Hi Anthony. Wanted a few clarifications about your daily routine. 1. Do you stick to a specific bedtime and wake up time every day? 2. Do you practice a certain period of time before bed in which you give up your phone and computer? I mean necessary for the accumulation of melatonin. 3. Right after you wake up and before your first productive block, do you eat anything or are there any activities like brushing your teeth or doing morning exercises? Or do you get up and go straight to your computer to start your first productive block? 4. During long efficiency blocks, do you work continuously for the entire period, or do you cut your work time into chunks, like in the pomodoro technique or something like that?
Consistent Bedtime and Wake-up Time: It's generally recommended to maintain a consistent sleep schedule, going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. This helps regulate your body's internal clock and improves the quality of your sleep. Screen Time Before Bed: Limiting screen time before bed can indeed support better sleep. The blue light emitted by phones and computers can interfere with the production of melatonin, the hormone that regulates sleep. Consider establishing a pre-sleep routine that doesn't involve screens. Morning Routine: Establishing a morning routine can set a positive tone for the day. Many people find it beneficial to engage in activities like brushing teeth, morning exercises, or having a nutritious breakfast before diving into work. It can help wake up both the body and mind. Work Efficiency Blocks: The approach to work blocks varies among individuals. Some people prefer longer, uninterrupted work periods, while others find it helpful to break their time into chunks using techniques like the Pomodoro method. Experiment to find what works best for you and enhances your productivity and focus.
@@anthonygg_ o you make a full sleep? great, you know because am gonna be a father for the first time, its been very hard for me to keep the productivity. And to see dev like you that just does, the basic things, but keep pushing, and there is no bullshit on "how to be a millionare" but just do the work for me is very inspiring. Thank you for your work and your time to comment me. Love, and be save.
My best hours are early in the morning when no one is around and I have my headphones on with lofi beats or deep focus music, yes no words, agree on that!
Off topic, but the way you talk reminds me of Athene from back in the WoW days. Good content bro, you have the most underrated coding channel on RUclips imo.
bummer that this applies only to someone who has a clear goal and know exactly how to get there. Where do you fit learning all that stuff. That takes way, way more than 3 hours a day.
Hi Anthony. I like the way you manage those blocks, unfortunately I don't see how to fit the one hour meetings slot in a real enterprise scenario. On the other hand if you are working with your teammates and u have dailies or they expect you to be available for questions or dms how do they manage to contact you in your first focus block? I see this schedule feasible if you are a lonely wolf coding your fully owned project but difficult in a startup or a team focused work. By the way you look really healthy, incredible arms 💪
I agree that this can be challenging in an enterprise scenario. But Im a big believer of working “async”. Meetings, in most cases, take to long and will drain everyones energy.

Anthony looks like someone from adult film industries doing part time programming
When I close my eyes, Georges St-Pierre is giving me a tutorial on productivity
😂
Right?

For those wanting to get deeper into this topic I would recommend starting off by reading: "Deep Work" by Cal Newport.

Anthony Best engineer!, highly inspired by you 💪
Can you recommend some books?
Thanks a lot sir for the tips. How much hours of sleep you get a in a day? How much hours sleep you think is needed per day to be highly productive?
A minimum of 7 is required to keep testosteron levels high.
How do you place study time in that schedule? Thx anthony
Good question. Deep work can also be study and exploration.
Ths is a pretty good schedule im gonna give it a try

You do it in the focus blocks, what do you mean?

Bro you are the best. Thank you for content
What if a person needs to have compulsory 8 hours in the office??
Well thats the problem of 9 - 5 job. You stuck being productive for 4 hours and waste the other 4.
gotta get good - pick the price you want to pay for where you work
Pick a job to do 8h remotely... then adapt the schedule :)
I schedule 1h in the morning and 2h in the afternoon. I have a 7-4 job from home
Thank you very much. It's a call to action in form of a video.
bro fuck programming, drop a worokout routine🤣
my man built like George st Pierre 💪🏻
Will you make “One day of Software Engineer life” video?
