  • 800 sq ft Minimalist NYC Apartment Tour | What does it take to live in NYC's Flatiron District?
Ever wonder what it's like to live in NYC's flatiron district? How much it costs to live there/in NYC? What it takes to make it in NYC? Come along for this home tour of a Digital Product Managers minimalist home in NYC's historic Flatiron district, and stick around after for an interview that goes in to the expenses associated with living in NYC as well as stories about NYC living.
I've always been curious about what it's like to live in different cities from the home tour to the living costs, so I wanted to make the content that I wanted to see. I hope you can stay for the entire video as everything connects, but if you're just here for the home tour, or to get information about NYC living costs, or about how it's like to live in NYC, then I've added some clickable timestamps below to help you save some time.

Thank you so much for watching the video! If you haven't subscribed yet, please do as I hope to continue sharing more videos like this one for NYC living, and hopefully other cities too!
I would also love to know about you. How much does it cost for you to live in NYC? or where you are from? Would you ever want to live in NYC? What kind of questions would you want asked in future videos?
If you're from here, how do you make it in NYC? or in the city you're from?

    Great space and location.
I also lived the flatiron district
    many moons ago. I transferred
    from San Francisco with work
so it wasn’t too extreme as far as
    living expenses. But completely
    different city culture. You either
get with the pace or get left out.
It was nice that she included
her backstory and the reality of nyc life.
I wish I had this template of nyc living
before I had located to the city.

I live in flatiron too, off 5th ave in the 20s. What you said about the Empire State building is so correct. Walking home at night and seeing the building lit up with different lights never gets old.

    13:48-14:01: What a wonderful format.
20:57: Thank you for sharing. As a NorCal person, I have heard New York is expensive, but the rent sounds similar to what the rates here in Northern California.
What Ian incredible vlog. I glanced at the video and thought it was Apartment Therapy. No idea who you are Mitchell, but this was informative and entertaining. I’ll take a look at some of your other vlogs😊
Edit: Ah, ha! You did the vlog with Interior Designer Alvin W. who I first learned about through Architectural Digest.

you’re a talented creative and a great plant mom. They look like they are happy and thriving to me, and also, you’re a great curator. Your personal style and how you style your apartment is very appealing and in great taste! Loving these interviews and also the intimate details and also how the came to have some of their belongings. How she got her lamp is classic NY!

$3475 a month? That's incredibly cheap for Chelsea/Flatiron district. The studio apartments in my building are half the size of this 1BR, and half as nice, with low ceilings and mediocre views -- and they rent for $4200 a month! How did she get this place so cheap? Was it a Covid deal and the rent will double next year? It's a really great apartment. She's very lucky.

How could anyone eat rack of lamb? I mean, have you seen a lamb? They are pure innocence, sweet and vulnerable -- it breaks my heart to think of a lamb ending up at a slaughterhouse. Please think about where your food comes from and who was killed for it.
