What RDBMS did you use? And could you briefly explain how you got React to interface with the database? Connector or something I'm guessing.

"All exams in this course are closed book/closed notes, and accessing any resources outside of the exam will be considered an exam violation and result in cancellation of your exam grade." It is written in the exam policy. How did you use notes?

Chris, I love your videos. For this particularly course, you had more positive things to say about CS 6400 than most of the reviews I read on OMScentral. I know it is hard speak for other people, but could you comment on why you think the overall ratings for this course are so low, and what was better about your experience? For me, I really want to get good with SQL because that is a skill set that I see over and over as a requirement for jobs. It seems to be up there with R and Python, yet the opportunities to get really proficient through coursework are much more limited. Hence, that is why I think I need this course. Also, I am in the OMSA program, but like the idea of getting another MS through the OMSCS program. Thanks for all great content you share for the benefit of the rest of us.

I am glad you like my review. My reason for taking the class was the same as yours, I noticed that SQL was needed for almost every job I wanted to apply to and I didn't feel as comfortable as I would like. After taking the course, I have had no trouble passing any coding test for any of the jobs I interview for. I would guess the reason for the low OMSCentral score could be from (1) if you have a bad group, the class is going to be a huge pain because the whole class is basically a project, (2) the tests are fairly tricky except for test3 and that gets annoying, (3) if you already know some SQL, the class will be pretty boring. If you wanted, you could really learn the same amount of SQL with a week or so of your own research and testing but for me, it let me get a class down and learn a skill.

Hi thanks for the video. Any tips for studying for exams? (especially for the last one?)

Hi Chris, you said the Project Team is assigned automatically so you can not form your own team?

You can but if you don't, you will be alloted to a group

I didnt feel the tests were that bad EXCEPT test 4. I felt test 4 was very unfair and tricky.
