MoM is definitely required viewing before Agatha all along. and Guardians 1 is probably required before A:AoU because of the dream sequence showing the power stone in the orb, which you'd only recognize after seeing that movie
I did forget to mention that Multiverse of Madness would be required before Agatha All Along, thank you for pointing it out! Although I disagree with needing Guardians 1 before Age of Ultron, yeah there is the quick shot of the Power Stone but Thor's dream sequence doesn't really lead anywhere tbh, if you watched Guardians 1 after Avengers 2 then you wouldn't be lost at all in my opinion. But that's not to say that you need to watch to watch Guardians 1 after Avengers 2, it works either way tbf
This is great! I've been tinkering around with drawing my own watch order 'road map', so this has been insightful how other people see it. I tend to like chronological, but will sometimes prioritise storytelling over what happens in timeline order. e.g. I start with Captain America: The First Avenger, then Iron Man - leaving Captain Marvel between Infinity War and Endgame. So even though Captain Marvel events occur before Iron Man, I like to watch Captain Marvel after Infinity War because of Infinity War's mid-credit scene and Captain Marvel's mid-credit scene leads nicely into Endgame. This is going to sound weird, but I also like to try and keep the ordering somewhat inline with how the Marvel Studios logo changes lol. Another reason why I don't watch Captain Marvel as part of 'phase one'. But this was a fun watch. Liked and subbed. P.S As a fellow Brit I know it as Avengers Assemble. I better title, in my opinion.
Thanks! It's great to see how others think about the MCU, what we agree on & disagree on. I never mentioned the MARVEL Studios logo changing with pretty much each instalment so that's a great point you bring up mate. Look forward to seeing your road map btw Also yeah I like Avengers Assemble better than The Avengers too, but only marginally
Yeah, I tend to think the 'phases' aren't much more than Marvel Studios' 'planned' release slate. i.e. when they do events that announce future projects. The line does seem arbitrary though.
It is annoying when they keep changing the canon. If they want people to watch their franchise, then they need to atleast make it somewhat easy to understand what the franchise even is
@@burnsyladdd I think it's too late to get it uncanned now because Daredevil: Born Again will release in 2025 and it's quite obvious that these are the same characters from the Netflix shows like LITERALLY the same characters in the same continuity.
Spider-Man: Unlimited was never canon to the 90's Animated Universe. Heck we just saw Chris Barnes' Spider-Man in X-Men '97 and the show didn't even made a reference to the other 90's aside from Spider-Man: The Animated Series (the theme was referenced yes but that isn't close because that theme could have been used in other Spider-Man shows or films similar to how MoM referenced the 90's X-Men theme and plus the 60's Spider-Man theme was referenced in almost evey Spider-Man franchise from the Raimi Trilogy, the MCU, and the Spider-Verse)
Spider-Man Unlimited is loosley connected to the other 90s Spider-Man cartoon, go read the Wiki. Yes there are some contradictions but the same goes for all of the other MAU cartoons, because of things like contract issues, licensing negotiations etc. Plus Spider-Man Unlimited was set in 1999 which is why it wasn't referenced in X-Men '97, which is set in 1997
@@burnsyladdd You know I think the show shouldn't be a Spider-Man show in the first place. Maybe put the Fantastic Four or Iron Man or Hulk in it and it would be fine or atleast make it an Avengers show.
This video is perfect for someone who wants to get into the MCU (Wish i had seen it 1,5 years ago when I started watching the MCU. Anyway, keep up the great work and I will likely come back to this video somewhere in the future, when I'll start watching the X-Men and Defender Sagas
Glad it was helpful, thanks for the kind words. I'll be making more videos explaining specific connections between things like The Defenders & X-Men titles soon
The actor of Jarvis from Agent Carter makes a cameo in Engame in the time travel scene. Meaning Agent Carter can still be canon although not essential viewing
It is confusing when MARVEL bring actors back to reprise their roles for cameos, but sadly it doesn’t mean that the show is actually canon, what’s even more stupid is that it was around that time when MARVEL decided to uncanonise those shows from the MCU. Hopefully they change it back like they did with the Defenders Saga
I’ve been watching the MCU ever since Ant-Man came out, but I haven’t been watching everything only bits and pieces. So yeah, I did watch Endgame before Infinity War and I did watch NWH before the other two movies. But ever since last summer when GOTG 3 came out I started to watch the MCU in timeline order, but I skipped the Defenders Saga and watched a summary video. But imma watch the Defenders Saga when I’m done with the MCU, for now at least. But could you explain to me why X-Men 97 only appears in the Multiverse Saga part of the Marvel section on Disney Plus but not in the complete timeline order? But I think I’m just going to watch everything in either timeline or release order.
I haven't seen all of the Defenders Saga either, only seen about half of it but it is fun in my opinion, so hopefully you'll enjoy it when you get round to it. Watching summary vids on RUclips is great because it really does take a long time to get through everything. It's weird because X-Men '97 is a direct sequel to the 1990s X-Men cartoon, so why only X-Men '97 is in the Multiverse Saga but the original show isn't, I have no idea I'm affraid. There are no actual crossovers so far other than a brief cameo from Uatu (the Watcher) in a single episode of X-Men '97, but this doesn't really have any deeper meaning atleast not yet.
1:02 id recommend Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, then Winter Soldier because IM3 leads out of Avengers one, and CA:WS leads into Avengers 2, leaving Thor 2 as a sort of filler episode 1:17 don’t watch Black Widow

@@burnsyladdd Fair enough on the orb. They only address it directly in infinity war well after you are expected to see it anyway.

See guys ? You dont need to watch the Defenders shows in order to watch Infinity War. Even if they are canon.
Tbh I think Logan is kinda required to watch before D&W
Also, could you publish a high quality image of the full graph?
That's fair and yeah I'll put a link to a Google drive in the video description in a moment
Great video!

I'm glad it was :) hope you enjoy your marathon haha

imagine if The Defenders gets uncanned then canned over and over again 💀

Lol in the UK it's called "Avengers Assemble" because it already had a show in the 60's which is called "The Avengers" (Not Marvel) 😂😂😂😂
is His Shirt a Pig VanossGaming?
It was a limited edition collab between Vanoss & Wildcat
Simple: Stop watching after Endgame 😂
Thank you for the asset's ❤

17:27 no it wasn’t. It was showed to be canon in endgame. It also crosses over with AoS which shows they are canon too.
Vague references are not confirmation of canonicity. Disney themselves say it isn’t canon, even Disney+ doesn’t list them in the MCU sections
