I am a 50 year old die hard Swiftie since 2006 and even I was irritated by the cut to Taylor during Post Malone's performance. I was enjoying it, even entranced, and the cut to Taylor snapped me out of the moment. Such a shame to take away from Post's moment.

Post lives like 15 minutes away from where I live so there’s that lol I wish they had focused more on the vocal and not the background music.

I did not see that live and I don’t like country music but this performance was so so good, that I repeat it over and over again. And i agree, the crowd reaction to Taylor Swift was stupid.

Post Malone was born in Syracuse, NY, and was raised in Grapevine, Texas, at the age of 10. Because of this, he considers himself a Texan. Also, Reebas' performance was super trash.

I am a traditionalist I guess when it comes to what song should be sung at the opening of games.I believe that the National Anthem should be That standard.I have to say that Post Malone's rendition of American The Beautiful falls short on inspiring me the way the National Anthem would.I think it pales in comparison with Chris Stapelton(and that is the performance I thought he was trying to recreate)with the guitar. I don't listen to enough of Malone's songs to know if he has the singing range or not ,but it seemed like he struggled to carry the tune.

A couple of commenters didn't like it. That's their right and, in this country, they're free to express their opinion. -- Isn't it funny that you (Sebs) didn't like the shot of Swift but the shots of the coach/players didn't bother you? I get it, they've used Swift so much and the game isn't about her. It's also not about the fans/parents. But coverage apparently think showing all that is part of the "experience." Whatever - it's over for 6 mos.

The only thing worse than this "performance " was the halftime show...both were horrendous!
We had to learn and sing this in school along with the Star Spangled Banner and the Battle Hymn of the Republic, so it's always really disappointing, and frankly lame, when I see that people don't know the words. Unfair? Don't care.
No, not everyone loves Taylor---I can't stand her!! She's a poser!! Every single thing she does, is a manipulation---every facial expression, toss of her hair, every placement of her hand, leg, whatever, is pre-planned, premeditated, pre-calculated---NOTHING is organic!!!
As for Post.... I love him, but that was horrible!! It seems he thought taking a page from Chris Stapleton, and going acoustic,was a good idea---and it would've been, if he had the range, power, and sang it, on-key!!
