When I was little we used to live in Northern Ireland and the giants causeway was already one of my favourite places to go! I loved the story of Fin McCool! Now that I live in wales one of the places I want to Visite one day is the other side of the causeway in Scotland!
I'm from Canada but visted Ireland and the Giant's Causeway years ago. It's so beautiful! Hearth I really do hope you get a chance to see it! Thanks so much for the lore and stories, it's so neat to hear about how people thought things came about :)
This was great. You should definitely do a trip around the North Coast, there is just so much to see. You can even take the Ferry over from Liverpool. There's obviously the giant's causeway, many castles, the rope bridge, the dark hedges etc. Its the home of the children of Leer and where St Patrick was held as a sheep herding slave. You can even stay a night or just have dinner in Ballygally Castle, which is said to be haunted.
I read this story growing up but I love your version of Fionn McCool and the Giant mainly because Fionn was the one who ate the Salmon of Knowledge and his wife is still smarter than him. 😂The version I read said it was his idea for consistency but there is nothing consistent about Irish mythology.
When I was younger I always said I was going to move to Ireland 🇮🇪 . Why ? Because I was deathly afraid of snakes. 😂 And always wanted to learn about my heritage and culture. Still haven’t been but glad to say I’m not afraid of snakes anymore. 🖤🐍🖤
Having major dejavu, I thought I'd already heard this episode like last week but it was just posted yesterday. Edit: lol OK it's an episode on the original podcast channel from 7 months ago, I'm not psychic 🤣
Hmm. A magical middle finger bitten off by a giant baby. Must have been the baby's way of saying....well. you know 😁 Hi Hearth. New to your channel and I enjoyed your amazing stories.

Loved this video Hearth. We have our own "Giants Causeway" formation here in Tasmania Australia. Nature is magical.
