Also, since two people have commented on this lmao...at 16:37 I say "this THING IS spazzin" and for whatever reason it sounds like I say the n word. I would never say that in a million years, there's just no chance. Wanted to clear that up here case anyone else comments.
Yes, reselling anything with images on it that you do not have the right to use is illegal. You can always apply these same techniques to copyright free photos or your own photos. 💯

🤫 😈
Heck yeah!! That was fantastic!! Thank you for the video!! I grew up in Chicago watching the bulls as they were kicking a$$!!! Jason
Fire! Heads up: I used to hate the Libraries function too, but it ends up being hella useful if you go between Photoshop and Illustrator, also to store smart objects for different mockups.
I believe it! Yeah, man - I'm sure there's lot of PS features I hate that are actually really useful, haha. So it goes. Appreciate you watching! 💯

bro had like 3 voice cracks but loved the video!! keep it up
32:23 I thought that it looked sick with the green bg haha nice design tho man.
That’s why art is subjective, my dude! 💯

Thank u for the tutorial thi is very helpful for us beginning in clothing brand that we are the one who edits, market, creating ideas, and others. Yo its a big help thank u so much!!
your missing a nice 23 man lol nice video though informative & inspirational
Appreciate your videos, i'm learning a lot
Dope! Glad to hear that. Thanks for watching 💯👊
This video is super helpful, thank you
nice tutorial , i will try to make this!!
Appreciate it! Thanks so much for being here. 💯
Thanks for sharing your work process. For selecting I often go between the lasso tool and quick mask. However, lately I've been using the pen tool to create faster selections while giving me some flexibility using bezier curves. Sometimes I run out of alpha channels too, so I'll save paths as well. Do you ever use the pen tool to create selections?
Nice. I've used the pen tool in the past and I don't really like it. Works great for a lot of people just not me, haha.
@@FULLERMOE well thats one of the coolest things about creating art and graphics, there's always 6 in one and half a dozen ways to get to the same place. The process can be as individual as the creator
@@xlnt3d01 Exactly!
this looks fire bro
Appreciate that! 💯
Major props! Good work.
Thanks so much for watching, Jorge! 💯
Such a great video. This really helped me alot.
Thanks so much for watching! 💪
This was super useful thanks. How can I do a gradient overlay that fades to a transparent background? I'm really struggling
Thanks so much for watching! It should be your second option in your Gradient box?
Thank you for the tutorial! Do you print on dark transfer paper and cut the edges of the letter or you cut straight horizontally on top and bottom before doing a heat press?
99% of what I do ends up screen printed, I honestly am not that familiar with at home or alternative print methods other than DTG. Might be some RUclips videos about your question though! 💯
Dope vid and tutorial, excited to try it myself!
Thanks for watching! 💯
This is an amazing detailed video
Thanks so much for watching
Thank you so much !! You learn me a lot of thing !!
Thank you so much for watching!
I like how transparent u edit mahn. Ure emotions and expressions are real hahahaha i got the same vibes sometimes. Hahaha best part @ 16:25 haahhahahaha woaaaah wtf.. u rock mahn thanks for the tutorial! 🤙🤙
Lol, yeah you can't fake that reactions haha. Appreciate you watching 💯
are there any websites that offer printing sevices for cheap. I just wanna print one for myself to wear thanks
Good Question
I wish I had a good answer for that! Probably just a matter of using Google and comparing reviews/prices depending on what you want. Most of what I do is screen printed, so I'm really only confident speaking to that process. 💯
VemiX holla at me
thank you man, u got this 👑
Appreciate you watching, Ahmad!
Wow man.. that's fucking awesome. Thanks for tutorial 😍
12:06 When I try to do a color overlay the whole image goes gray and when I change the color they all just turn it black… what am I doing wrong
So after done with design you should do a video how we get it on the shirt next
I hit you back on IG 💯
Fuller Moehagen could you let me know how as well?
that fart at 2:32 lol
Lmao definitely just my chair but good ear 😂
useful as always my man, thanks
Glad it was useful! Appreciate you being here. 💯
Dope one!
Thanks so much for watching 💯
Hey man, huge fan of your work and this tutorial! Followed it and got an awesome design that I would love to send to print, just have a couple questions!
1. Since it has a black background, when I want it to print, how do I either get rid of the background so the gradients and textures are still able to be seen and would this be applicable for any color shirt?
2. If I have to print on black, that's okay, but everywhere I go to print the blacks don't match up at least in the preview, so is there a way to ensure that I will be able to get consistency in color as far as printing goes?
Thanks so much!
yeah i cant figure that out either. any answers?
you can just merge the gradient to the layer below so it sticks on to it bro, so that you can export it without the blacks @@Muhliciouss
Great video. What kind of printing would be best for this kind of art. And also where can I purchase vintage plain tees?
I always say screen printing is best and done locally if possible. Check out my video called Top 5 Shirts For Printing Vintage Designs 💯
bro, can u make the tutorial how to save design in photoshop for t-shirt printing. bcs i dont know should what, jpeg or png?
You need to save as a Photoshop (.PSD) file. This will keep your layers in tact and allow further edits to be made to your artwork as needed. 💯
@@FULLERMOE okey thanks bro
Great video really enjoyed the whole process but how did you make the subscribe pop up in your video 15:23
Haha, just an effect I added in Premiere Pro. Had to do some Googling to find it but it’s pretty easy to use.💯
are you going to be making more designs of hip-hop artists and basketball players?
Thanks for the comment! Probably not basketball players, but I could see doing another sport!
toooo fire bro
Appreciate it! 💯
if Im gonna do some bootleg design what printing process should I do? is DTF good or should I go for a silkscreen printing
Awesome video man. Where is the background link located again?
It's right here 💯bit.ly/21-backgrounds
GOD bless you man, thank you !
Awesome! Do you have color seperation tutorial for this kind of design?
Nope! I don't do color seps. Been told it actually makes life harder for the screen printer because most have their own unique method. Better to just watch my video on how to finalize artwork and do that.
@@FULLERMOE do you have the link for that Vid?
Hey, I really enjoyed the tutorial, I hope you don't mind if I ask a personal question. Do you use a heat press to transfer your designs onto shirts or do you find someone to do that because that's my dilemma here, I don't have a heat press or any of the sort but have a design I wanna create than use. More of a memorial type of shirt for a loved one who passed recently.
thank you fro making these videos! what fonts do you use, how can we use them too?
These might help www.dropbox.com/s/792tyfdwp143f58/FULLER-BootlegFonts.zip?dl=0
Bro I don’t have enough money for photoshop can I use Gimp? Or do u know any good very cheap or preferably free photoshop alternative
I feel you. Wish I had a good answer, but I'm not really familiar with Gimp or some of the other alternative design programs. Worse case scenario, you can use those programs to better develop your taste in terms of creating layouts/compositions, colors, etc and then when you have enough money (you can get Photoshop 2021 for $21 a month), make the move the PS and use the skills you've developed.
Great video sir, do you mind if I ask how are most of these vintage style shirts printed, is it Direct To Garment from a printer, or screen printing? (I’m wondering if I whipped myself up a custom design, how I should go about having it printed). Thanks again for the great content.
The majority of my graphic works ends up being screen printed. It usually just comes down to budget for most people, because you can print 5-10 shirts with DTG but that's not an option for screen printing. You'll get the best quality with screen printing and it ends up being cheaper PER SHIRT but overall can be a bigger commitment, money-wise.
DTG
thx for this video, good job
Thank you for watching!
What is the process for getting the design on a shirt. Idk much but doesn’t seem like screen print. Is this down in a different way like a ink print?
You could absolutely use screen print (if you have the budget for it) or DTG
@@FULLERMOE thanks for the reply bro!
Can you drop like a font presets to use i mean the font names for vintage bootleg?
Watch my video called How To Design Bootleg Rap Style Text. I break down some classic bootleg graphics and shout out the font names. There’s also a link in the description to those fonts. 💯
damn you skipped the texture adding part :D by the way on these type of videos you can put more ads on them! You deserve it! Thank you man
How do I get into photo shopping an designing t shirts an what do you create them on please ? New to this
Love your work bro, I seen someone in the comment ask a similar question.. but I want to to design vintage style sports & music T’s like this but I’m not sure with copyright infringement laws. Have you ever experienced and cease & desist orders?
Thanks for watching! No, I'ver never experienced any copyright or cease/desist issues because I only work on official merch.
So do I gotta pay for photoshop? And is it better to create shirts on a laptop or iPad or can I even go buy doing it on a iPad ? All I have is a iPad right now
Yes, you can get Photoshop for $22 a month. I recommend using a small laptop if at all possible, because the iPad version of Photoshop is not that same as laptop/desktop.
I feel like if you used the magic wand and raised the tolerance a bit, it would’ve made many steps a lot easier
Who knows, haha. Everything does everything differently. End result is all that matters.
Bro love your work keep it up frm naija
Appreciate that, thank you
very good video, what macbook do you use ?
MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
Hey fuller, why your all the designs are only for black colour t-shirt.
Please give us some ideas to print on colour tees.
Because I wear mostly black shirts and it's my design channel, haha. Also, I feel like most of the old sports tees that are super dope are black. Just look at some clothing brands you like or old shirts to get inspiration. Appreciate you watching.
So how do you prepare the file to be screen printed? Do the factories split it into multiple screens for you? I’m trying to learn how to prepare full color graphics for screens without CMYK
Great video :)
Appreciate you watching! 💯
My new favorite channel, keep up the great work
That means a lot, thanks so much for watching 💯
Thank you so much sir
So I used this tutorial to make a Michael Scott tee from the office. Was just wondering how I’d go about printing it. I got the image from E News. Any advice or suggestions ?
Throw up a post on Facebook and/or IG asking for recommendations for local screen printers.
Hi thank you for these tutorials really appreciate it. I made one like these but with black background and having problems with printing it with heat transfer should I print it with transparent background for dark garment shirts or leaving it black is ok?
I’m not sure of what the process is for heat printing because I don’t print my own shirts. But it sounds like you’ll want the background to be transparent.
Awesome vid are you able to do this on gimp or any other free photoshop alternatives
The main purpose of my channel is to get you guys familiar with Photoshop, but I understand not everyone can afford it. I'll definitely consider reviewing some free software, that's a great idea. Let me think on that! 💯
Fuller Moehagen yea I’m using an application called gimp it’s an alternative for photoshop I actually use it for making collages but I’m not sure how to make the vintage shirts on the application.
Fuller Moehagen and thanks ❤️
Every time I try to paste an image to the initial black background it is super low quality. I make sure to only use large pictures. Do you have advice on how to fix this? Love the videos bro
Maybe your canvas is too large? You'll likely have to resize, regardless...even if you're using "large" photos from Google. You're welcome to DM me on Instagram if you need extra help.
@@FULLERMOE thanks I got it figured out - I had to use the advanced search for even larger photos
nice bro. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Appreciate you watching 💯
Hi i got a question. Where can i get pictures since you don't recommend getting from Google. Btw love your vids!
Just Google "stock photos" or "copyright free photos" and you'll find tons of resources.
Im having trouble getting the transparent boxes for the gradient change how do you change it you started talking about it at around 10:30-11:00
Hey fuller, does the texture overlay stay on during screen printing or is it just for mock up purposes
Yep, if you use a Clipping Mask or really any sort of texture, they'll print it (or remove it, leaving the garment showing if that makes sense).
How do you get your screen prints to look so Tonal on the shirt. A lot of my samples have have out very basic
Not sure what you mean by "tonal" or "basic" - any way you can be more specific? Appreciate you watching!
I have a question ...doing a mj tshirt and selling it ...is legally ok ? Or I will get in trouble for it ?
I wouldn't recommend using any copyrighted photos if your plan is to make t-shirts and sell them.
Hey, Appreciate the video! What service/site do you use to print these? Do they do it in Bulk?
Hey John - I don't print any shirts myself, but 99% of what I do for my clients ends up being screen printed. So I don't really have any recommendations for online printing. I always say you should go with a local screen printer if possible. 💯
hi guys, I just opened up my first Sublimation Business. I wanted to leave something for my kids so...I'm doing it..If you ever need anything in bulk please contact me asap. God Bless
Thank u for this great tutorial and I wish I can do that as good as you can do. I hope i will not throw my laptop 🤣
Haha, don’t get frustrated. It takes practice! I started from nothing too. 💯 Keep going
how come its incredibly difficult add a blending/fade grunge effect on my layers. its ridiculous. i also downloaded several grunge effects from adobe stock (made sure usable for photoshop), and those wont even allow me to use them without painstakingly selecting the subjects and editing them to do so. please someone help with this because it shouldnt take me all day to figure out.
Please question what do you call that figure arrangement and how do you vignette the edges of the prints like all the vintage tees
For the vignette, I use a series of gradients. Not sure what you mean by "figure arrangement". Thanks so much for watching!
Fuller Moehagen you see on those vintage tee shirts or movie covers even how you have placed the big face on one side then the smaller one over there. Does that arrangement of the motifs have a name ?
Not to my knowledge! Just an artistic/stylistic choice.
Photoshop is giving mea hard time. I haven’t used it in while and I’m having trouble resizing. The video is so fast lol
Haha, I'm sorry - a lot of this stuff is like second nature to me. Try to go at a speed people can follow, but sometimes I slip up. If you're having any specific issues, you can always DM me on Instagram (@fuller.moe) for help. 💯
@@FULLERMOE thanks I definitely slowed down the speed of the video for the airbrush one.
amazing content
hope you keep update :)
Definitely, thanks so much for watching 💯
What type of program do I need for Photoshop and things that I can start for a t-shirt business
Do you know where Brands Like Marino Morwood or McDowells Brand get their Images from? I mean do you think they directly contact the photograph or are there websites to buy the copyright of those pictures they use in their designs from?
Google
@@FULLERMOE but I mean how does the process of getting the copyright looks like (I believe they buy the copyright of the pictures bcs otherwise that may cause them major fines right?)?
Where did you find those backgrounds and how did you make them, because I want to know the actual skill behind making them
Most of it I just pulled from random photos on Pexels and finessed them a bit.
my question is, do i have to buy the license for the photos that im using? (im not using it for commercial purpose tho, aint gonna sell it)
If there is no money exchanged, you're fine. Once you start profiting off images you don't own, that's when it can become a legal issue.
hey for moving the png to another file im on pc and dont kn ow how to do that any tips becuase i dont have commands lol
What shirt brand or products should I use. And is there a method to put in on the shirt in the cleanest way possible?? I wanna make some for myself with some more underground athletes and artists🔥
