CHAMONIX Alpine Conditions Report 3 | It's still very snowy!

A few weeks have passed, but change is slow. Here is my latest alpine conditions report. These will not be weekly reports like in winter, it will be more ad hoc. Hi mate! Thank you for these consistent updates. Amazing to see there is snow up top and hopefully long may it last! Really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos and great to see you are getting more and more views! It makes me very sad the glaciers in general are receding. I personally want colder weather and more snow for longer! Keep it real dude.

Thanks! I rode up the gondola to Montenvers with the guy who measures the glacier at the Vallee Blanche for the official records. He told us that the glacier was actually growing in the 70s to mid 80s.

It's not uncommon for glaciers to grow in the short term due to global warming, as it typically leads to increased precipitation, which for a while at least can out strip the increased melt. Fox and Franz Joseph glaciers in new Zealand were the same until about 10-15 years ago
