I’ve always loved the late ‘90s early ‘00s S-10 ZR2 and Blazer. They’re just awesome little 4x4 runabouts. They are tough and the 4.3 Vortec is such a durable and reliable engine, and runs forever if you maintain regular oil changes with a quality oil.
I'm a 2nd owner of a beautiful garage kept & showroom condition tan/black trim 2002 Blazer ZR2. I Installed a HD 4L80E Transmission & she's a smooth runner! Instead of the 4L80E Almost 250k miles on her & you cannot feel it running when idling or sitting at a red light & the 4.3 is strong & dependable. No rattles, etc. I wouldn't sell it for $20k. Paid $3 for it 4yrs ago & I baby her.. Stock skid plates, etc. She runs better than my Wife's new car!
