56” Mistral MFCLA56 Style 1 ceiling fan, mid-late 1970s

I see these fans everywhere (in Australia). I assume the blades are interchangeable so you could put the 36 inch blades on the more powerful motor. I timed the spin down of one of these fans (a 56 inch) and it was about 8 minutes from full speed. I have seen bigger fans (over 70 inches) with shorter spindowns (2-3 minutes)..

There are much larger fans now. Some over 10m in diameter.
