    The new car easily looks more expensive and more mature. The old one became totally bland and forgettable after the facelift. Can’t wait to see it with better wheels and different colors.

      I don’t think there will be another E63. I think we will get an E53 either with the 443hp I6 from the CLE53 or the 500hp from the upcoming GLE53 plug in hybrid also with the I6.

    • @powershot24
      @powershot24 10 месяцев назад

      @@MercOne Think you are absolutely right about the E53 powertrain - I suspect it will be shared with the upcoming GLE53.
      As for an E63, I have zero inside information but do think it will return as a 6-cylinder performance hybrid. Personally I don’t care for the new C63 being named a 63, but it does show Mercedes is willing to put a 63 badge on a vehicle without a V8. Given that BMW is coming out soon with a new M5, I doubt Benz is willing to cede that corner of the market and have the E53 as the top E. Either way, it will be interesting to see what Mercedes decides to do.

I didn't change for the 2021 refresh 'cos they ruined the front and rear ends and looks like I will be keeping it even longer as the new one looks too fussy to me. Anyway why would I change when it's done 70K rock solid reliable miles.

    I prefer the styling of the 2023, but thats not saying much. I'm not too keen on digital dashes...don't think they'll age well, nevermind their durability. Don't get me wrong, I love tech, and some cars do the all digital dash well. But for many cars, there's a fine line between cool and tacky. Cars these days are becoming more like tech products and like a smartphone, disposable.

  • @jlam6449

    those wheels are very VAG/Lexus-like IMO. As someone with current VW & Audi products in the family I personally like them but also feel that they somewhat don't belongs on a MB.
    I generally don't care about MB esp with the hideous electric balloons that have been coming out but this E will age like wine fine like all previous E-classes.

  • @SDav21

    The 23 looks like a blobby fish at the front. The new is much better. Although the pricing is too high and standard features list too low. The US won't understand this but the rest of the world has been getting absolutely amazing Chinese cars which cost half the price yet has more tech and more features. It starts to make premium brands feel a bit obsolete with their greedy short list of standard features.

    • @pacmanc8103
      @pacmanc8103 9 месяцев назад

      Sorry, but Chinese vehicles are absolute junk. Their quality control absolutely sucks - I’ve driven new ones in the Middle East with major electronic problems and have seen too many that fold up in accidents. A fender bender becomes a major accident. They are like what South Korean cars were 20 years ago at best. They are cheap though.

    • @SDav21
      @SDav21 9 месяцев назад

      @@pacmanc8103 no they are not. Maybe older ones. But almost all their new vehicles have 5 star crash test ratings. So you're wrong on that one. And as for quality control lol. Have you seen the crap coming from legacy car makers? Mercedes for example is supposed to be premium, luxury etc they're supposed to have experience. Yet most of their GLE and GLS models leave the factory with poorly fitted panels inside and out. Let's not mention the new C Classes poor quality interior and faulty infotainment system which they can't even fix. 2 friends of mine bought the new C Class and the android auto and Apple carplay crapped out every single time. Mercedes couldn't even fix it so they silently added inbuilt navigation as standard because their low quality hardware modules couldn't be replaced and they refused to do so. I had a GLB for a short while which was crap. The instant the transmission got hot in traffic it would lurch and become clunky. The interior is full of cheap materials. Build quality was poor. Most legacy carmakers are sitting with absolutely mediocre electric cars as well while the Chinese have surpassed them.

    • @pacmanc8103
      @pacmanc8103 9 месяцев назад

      @@SDav21 You might like to check JD Powers for Chinese vehicle reliability ratings for 2023. Interested to know which country’s safety agency gave “almost all their vehicles” 5 star ratings? China? The NHTSA certainly has not. Just so you know, I am in Saudi Arabia writing this and have had a rented “Ford Taurus” for 6 weeks. The only thing “Ford” about it is the engine, transmission and name (Ford, btw, is very highly regarded in the Middle East) - the rest is Chinese. The car had 1300 kms on it when I rented it (800 miles). To date, the electronics are laughable - error lights every day, can’t use navigation as it is ridiculously inaccurate, showing me in the Red Sea half the time, heading north instead of south. Car play?😂 Forget that - I just use Google Maps on the phone. Chinese cars are absolutely known here to be throwaway vehicles - there is virtually no service (forget warranty!) available. Haval, BYD, Changan, MG, Geely, you name them (including the ones with 4 syllables in a string of consonants). The Chinese manufacturers are very good at making their cars look like clones of real ones (like X5s, Rav4s, etc.). That’s the only reason they can lure suckers into showrooms (without service departments) to purchase them.

    • @pacmanc8103
      @pacmanc8103 9 месяцев назад

      @@SDav21 Nonsense. Read JD Powers 2023 reliability ratings. There are no 5 star ratings from the NTHSA for Chinese cars. I am in Saudi Arabia right now driving a rented one for 6 weeks. Laughable - and it had 1300 kms on it when I got it. Warning lights blinking constantly (parking brake, tire pressure, overheating - all not true). Nav?😂 Half the time it shows that I’m in the Red Sea rather than driving on the Corniche. Trash cars with zero dealer service for new or old ones - from BYD and MG (!) to Haval and Changan.

    • @SDav21
      @SDav21 9 месяцев назад

      @@pacmanc8103 you've driven one. I've driven many. And I have experienced no issues whatsoever. I've experienced more issues driving cars from established carmakers than the Chinese ones. And omg. Who cares about NHTSA. It's American and they don't even get Chinese cars so they don't test it. Look at EURO NCAP. Plenty Chinese cars all with 5 star crash test ratings. Lol. Also look at ANCAP. The Australian crash test authority, again plenty Chinese cars all with 5 star ratings. Before bashing them actually do your research. They're making better cars than legacy automakers and are taking over. It's about time. The US wants to tariff Chinese cars to the ground because they're so bitter and can't compete. Imagine, the US has been making cars for decades and they're still all shit and unreliable. 😂 So don't go bashing what you don't know.

    Exteriors are quite similar- 2023 interior is so much more stylish w Imaginative design- 2024 has much of the c class interior w exception of center tablet size- 🤔
    Despite stacked front video image designed obviously to give the illusion that the 24 has a larger front end look, both cars are indeed identical in height/width at the front end as well as the back-

      The 2023 interior looks very dated now - as does the exterior. The 2024 is longer, a bit wider and has noticeably more legroom in the rear. I’m so glad I waited to order the new E450 4Matic with air suspension and 4 wheel steering a very different car.
