Oboe and Flute duet arrangement of the 3rd movement of Liz and the Blue Bird.
This was written for a couple of my friends who wished to play it (though I may have been more keen on listening than they were playing lol). Also had a lot of free time during quarantine.
EDIT I MADE TO THE SCORE AFTER UPLOADING THIS:
Changed Oboe line at at bar 81, the held high C comes in half a beat later, on the off-beat of beat 3. Following bar doesn't change tho. Also added a fermata to the starting D of bar 96.
Things to note: There may be a few discrepancies between the parts to the original piece, as I had to make ways to include the important background parts from the other instruments. There shouldn't be any gaps from to the original piece tho, I compared it to a full ensemble score while writing it and afterwords. They may be a few quite high notes on for the Oboe player though, if you attempt to play it. :)
Disclaimer: I do not own the original piece. This is just something I wrote for fun.

Hey man, I saw in a comments section that you were supposed to conduct this with your band ensemble. Where would you find/purchase the full score? Entire piece or movements of it
Thanks

This is the link to the official score. It only comes in Japanese though.

This is a link to an unofficial score on musescore, but its very accurate.
@@timpark02 Thank you! And sorry for this, but do you happen to have links to Crescent Moon Dance, Dream Solister, and Wind of Provence. Thank you for your help!

From what I know, the official score for Wind of Provence was discontinued a few years back, but this is supposedly transcribed from someone who owned the official score.
As for Crescent Moon Dance, the official score is very difficult to obtain, as it aas an Japan-exclusive paired with DVD sales. I played it with my band a year ago using a musescore variant. Unfortunately that score seems to have been deleted or privated on musescore, but if you can send me your email address, I still have the pdf of the full score and individual parts. Just dm your email to @timpark3.14 on instagram if you're interested!

GOOD GOD I'm obsessed with that part 😭
Thanks for this, I'm just starting on flute and I'm using this score to practice.
Thanks for this! I'm glad I did a bit more digging to find this song. I'm hoping a mashup artist I know can make a mashup of this with another song from Bloom Into You! 😁 ❤️
Just buying a flute to play this
(Part-time) Flautist here, and hope I can help you with tips regarding this (disregard if you find this unsolicited):
It can help if you practice these fundamentals (as a practice to play this):
1. Long tones and passages to an extent (or holding a note very long. This piece has a lot of slurs and ties so the breathing, embouchure, and breath support exercises should help in nailing the piece)
2. Tounging, particularly double tonguing (it'll greatly help nail the solo parts, particularly the stacattos and triplets and whatnot)
@@IchiGurou thaaanks for the tips
When you have a clarinet instead of a oboe
I feel u
The clarinet can actually play a wider range than oboe higher and lower if that’s what your talking about.😀
@@sebsantostefano4337 man but the sound is just not the same 😞😞
@@rae2827 i actually was thinking of duetting with a flute, but i only did have a clarinet lmao. i noticed that oboe players are uncommon *assuming* there's only 1 oboe player *before* kitauji's last year. so, i asked my band teacher, "have you had oboe players before?" and, she actually offered me the position to play the oboe. i thought about it and accepted. now i have an oboe to sound more authentic.
*cackles in oboe player always getting over shadowed by clarinetez*
