Great episode my brother. The fist introduction to cigars for me was on my 16th birthday. An uncle gifted me a box (25) Montecristo No.2’s. After going for a car ride and trying out the first stick, I instantly fell in love with the smoke time I had. That was in 1989, and now 34 years later. I am still collecting/aging/ and smoking my Cuban cigar collection. It is my safe haven from the stress of everyday Iife. Keep up the fantastic videos and have a Happy New Years Eve this night. Dude. Those prices are crazy. If I lived in the UK, I would go to Spain and bring back 50 Dominican, Mexican, or Nicaraguan cigars before I pay that for a Cuban.
A Lot of people do this when they go on holiday, unfortunately, it isn't something that can be done all the time. saying this it is also good to support the local Stores, the prices are high due to taxes and Duties.
Those prices are insane 😮 In Belgium you can buy quality cigars for nice prices. Oliva Connecticut €10 Mild VegaFina original Robusto €7 Mild Flor de Copan €€7 Mild/Medium.
Thanks for the video you made, it has usefull informations for beginners. As a beginner my self i m trying as much as many brands i can find here in athens Greece. Although i smoke cigars only twice a week i've already tryied some good cigars but till this moment my favorite cigars are CAO pilon (toro), LA AURORA 117 anniversary edition (gran toro) and the QUAI D'ORSEY 50,54 and coronas claro. I use to pair them with rum , cuba libre or Jack Daniels with ginger ale. Thanks again and go on with your great and usefull videos

Hi Diego muchas gracias, those two are great cigars and I believe it will give you a good experience, just remember take your time, don't rush it and don't worry if you cant find any flavour notes just enjoy the ritual, and if these cigars are not for you thats no a problem there is a lot more out there. the good thing is that these two are medium strength cigars and not too long it is a good way to start, but please just take your time and enjoy. The cigar that got me going was My Father No. 1 Robusto. Had it in Canada when I was asking a friend to be a part of my Wedding party. The brand of cigars though that really got me into them was Davidoff.

Great choice if you are starting in the world of cigars all I can say is try as many different cigars as possible, this will help you find what you like and also develop your palate. Not a smoker but I'm a fan of the cigars and pipes. Question if you don't mind as you live in the UK i assume that you are aware that the government is planning a sort of ban on all smoking from those born in 2008 i think it was, is there a petition or a way to protest for the preservation of the cigar's and pipe's community. And if you do know anything about it what does the cigar community hope to do to keep the hobby going in the future
This is an awesome video. I enjoyed the part about HDME2 starting your journey. That is the same reason the Cohiba Robusto will always be #1 in my heart, although it's now breaking my heart at these prices haha. Thanks for sharing

@@JR-ii5de so true! I still have my boxes the Robustos came in along with the receipt from Cuba. Paid $8.45 a stick, so a box of 25 was about $210. Paid around that for several years in early 2000’s. I heard they are around $70 a stick now at LCDH in Cuba. Anyone else know the current price in Cuba? Heck a box of Montecristo #4 were $40! Those were the days. These days I stick to Punch Punch, R&J Mille Fleurs and Partagas Serie D #4. My cigars now cost way more than my week holiday in Cuba…lol.

Yes the prices of UK cigars are crazy. It's a shame we have to pay so much. I'm a regular cigar smoker but have never had a full box due to prices being around £350

I bought a cohiba siglo I for my first cigar but I think it will be a bit to the strong side. Idk
