No, youre right. Maybe its the sound proofing as well, the Mini is just the same. Id get one but I need more space these days. Its a great engine, more than enough power for normal daily use.

How does this car feel? Bc from the numbers it's not very convincing, but having driven many BMWs, they are extremely fun cars. Does this one feel quicker in terms of acceleration or handling than one might think? Thanks!
I bought in 2019 a new 118i and I simply love this car. I only had one technical issue (defect water pump, but BMW replaced it without any costs). From 0-130Km/h you'll be able to flow with traffic easily, but then you recognize "the lack of power". I'm still driving it and I already know I will be very sad, when the time comes to say good bye to it...

That three cylinder engine is the best ive heard in any car. Ive had a few engines like that and the only one to come close as regards the sound was the Suzuki 1 litre boosterjet which was discontinued. Im in the UK, 136bhp is enough for our roads. Ive driven the 1 series and the Mini with this engine, manual and auto. The twin scroll turbo works so well, it eradicates that usual lull then surge you get most three cylinder turbos. I have a Dacia and its not easy to make smooth progress, takes a bit of getting used to.
118i hp 134? not 167?
This is the facelift model and has a b38 inline three because the difference in the 118 and 120i wasnt very big in the pre lci models

It's a 1.6 and it's really not that slow I got 212 kph out of myne 😂
