There is that fake "oh yeah I feel this" responses. But then there's those of us that have actually been through this. It's tough, we have to fight, and sometimes music can help us. This is one of those times
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this from experience: You don't have to be fucked up, you don't have to have a mental illness, but when you hear a song like this, it stirs up everything you've been holding back. Everything that's happened to you. Everything that you've done. It's enough to make the most secure person feel tiny like a minnow in the sea. In times like this, you need to take a minute and reflect on everything in your life. Your past, future, your present. It's what makes you you. Even if you have regrets, sorrows, etc. You need to own them because they will always be a part of you. You can fix things you've done, you can change who you are. But you'll always have your experiences to show you what to be and who not to be. Songs like this can lead you down the path to depression, suicide, etc. But you have to use it as a tool, realize that nobody's perfect and use it to find a better way, make your life better, make someone else's life better.
I had that Epiphany a long time ago I decided that I refuse to let anybody suffer as much as I do whenever I meet somebody who's down or has a friend who's down to usually try and help them they usually try and help me but I never really accept it I always feel like I'm not worth it I have owned who I am I have owned that I am broken and I am damaged and I don't want anyone to go down my path but I have also done accepted that some are just too far gone...it brought me to tears

I really like this song because I connect with it, and I think a lot of others do too. Personally, I feel like this song is becoming stronger when you realize you're all you have. "All I needed was the last thing I wanted; to sit alone in a room and say it all out loud." I think this is saying that the singer needed to confess something, or just vent, but no one was there for them. So they sat in a room and said it to the walls for them to listen. And sometimes that's totally okay. Wish I could talk to my walls right now.
For me, this song is about reflection. The lead singer Danny suffered from addiction and made stupid mistakes in his life. He couldn’t change, even with the help of his friends. So, what he needed was space and time to himself to reflect. It was the last thing he wanted, to be alone, but it was what he needed As someone who suffers from guilt, this song means so much to me. And hey, I may not be walls, but I am here to talk :)

I was just really upset, my Ball Python died unexpectedly and I hadn't even had her for a year, she was supposed to be like the embodiment of memories of my Grandmother, who died last year on my birthday due to Cancer and poor treatment, so, my Snake meant a lot to me, which, sounds weird. But I'm okay now. Life goes on, and she meant a lot to me, which is okay, but I shouldn't be upset. It already happened, I can't fix it. And I'm here for you too, stranger. It’s hard to really articulate how much this song means to me. I have so many different reasons why i resonate with the lyrics. This past spring I had to abruptly move out of my apartment that I’ve lived in for six years. Other than help moving out big objects like beds and a couch, I cleaned and moved out everything else entirely on my own. It was heartbreaking and incredibly lonely. This song came up randomly on Spotify and it hit me like a brick. I was so taken aback I had to just sit and stare for awhile while the song replayed over and over. Moving out of a place is emotional enough, I had been heavily thinking about all the good and bad things that happened there (and life in general) and then this song just pushed me over the edge. I’ve listened to it every day since and it still stuns me every time.
