I _thought_ magic and defensive tactics were easy mode, so I ran around with a shield casting spells. When I finally tried a greatsword run... it was way easier. I was better at dodging than I thought, and with a big high-damage weapon, the enemies are staggered or dead before they can force you to dodge very much. My defensive magic builds actually forced me to contend with way more incoming attacks from multiple enemies than if I just chopped them all to pieces.
Pretty cool how many different ways there are to okay these games. Just got into fromsoftware late last year and I’ve mostly been using dex builds, but I decided to give strength a try and it’s like a totally different experience

After doing pure strength I was kinda shocked just by glintstone pebble alone :/
Ps if you want more damage for Magic dual wield staffs and well a shit load more but yeahhh
