    I am on a path of sanctification and learing deliverance and getting in alignment with Yahs laws and this song makes my hand tremble big time! There is a demon I can’t seem to find legal right and it is very scared of this version of psalm 27. Powerful.

    Is there anywhere where each letter/marking is listed with its respective note?

    And now shall mine head be lifted up, Above mine enemies round about me: Therefore will I offer in his tabernacle SACRIFICES of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
    Psalm 27:6
    seriously amazing how you can read the scriptures daily and still find some new secret or gem. Praise is sacrifice. How amazing.... I found the same amazement in Psalms 23 when seeing how God's ROD and Staff are meant for comfort... His rod is meant to comfort us! Just amazing...

    Псалом 27
    1. (По слав. 26).
    5. Защото в зъл ден ще ме скрие под покрова Си, Ще ме покрие в скривалището на шатъра Си, Ще ме издигне на канара.
    6. И сега главата ми ще се издигне Над неприятелите ми, които ме окръжават; И ще принеса в скинията Му жертва на възклицания, Ще пея, да! ще славословя Господа.
    7. Слушай, Господи, гласа ми, когато викам; Смили се тоже за мене, и отговори ми.
    8. Когато Ти рече: Търсете лицето Ми, Моето сърце Ти каза: Лицето Ти ще търся, Господи.
    9. Да не скриеш от мене лицето Си; Да не отхвърлиш с гняв слугата Си; Ти ми стана помощ; недей ме отхвърля, И недей ме оставя, Боже, Спасителю мой;
    10. Защото баща ми и майка ми са ме оставили; Господ, обаче, ще ме прибере.
    11. Научи ме, Господи, пътя Си, И води ме по равна пътека поради ония, които ме причакват.
    12. Да ме не предадеш на волята на противниците ми; Защото лъжливи свидетели са се дигнали против мене, Които дишат насилие.
    13. Ако не бях повярвал, че ще видя благостите Господни В земята на живите - бих премалнял.
    14. Чакай Господа; Дерзай, и нека се укрепи сърцето ти; Да! чакай Господа.

    So glad to know music this exquisite had graced the Second Temple. I hear both Misheberakh mode and the Biblical scale in this Psalm. Can't help but wonder what this Psalm sounds like inside the Temple. I imagine it having the best acoustic to house the music that invokes our sacred awareness.

    • @MichaelLevyMusic
      @MichaelLevyMusic  Год назад

      That is an interesting point - where did the Levites perform? Was it somewhere inside some building...but then, the only Temple building with an actual inside was the Inner Sanctuary, which only the High Priest entered once a year on Yom Kippur. They presumably sang and played their lyres in the inner courtyard, which must have been an outdoor, open space? Certainly plenty of fine white limestone for their music to reverberate off, but not as wonderful acoustics as say, playing in some comparable sacred space like a cathedral...

      This is the entire crux of the matter - even although it will forever remain beyond the realms of 100% verifiable certainty, that the original authors of the Te Amim accents were indeed Levitical & that these marks preserve the actual melodies of the Psalms of David & ancient Temple services, the music Haik Vantoura revealed, (using the actual meaning & emphasis of the original Hebrew text of the Bible as the means of establishing the specific musical modes to be used in conjunction with the rise and fall of pitch indicated in the Te Amim accents), the music really does seem to speak for itself.
      The significance is mind boggling - this could be the first completely notated art music of antiquity, predating the complete notated ancient Greek melody of the 'Song of Seikilos' by maybe up to 1000 years!!!

      I am pretty much 'on the fence' to be honest - although the melodies claimed to have been revealed by SHV seem to speak for themselves, there is no way to ever know 100% for certain, that the 'Te Amim' accents attached to the oldest surviving text of the Hebrew Bible from which SHV derived these melodies were Levitical in origin & thus dated back to the ancient Temple services in Jerusalem: ancientlyre.com/the-original-3000-year-old-music-of-the-bible-revealed

      Sacha Romanov - according to the claims of the late Suzanne Haik Vantoura, this was the original melody once sang to Psalm 27 (maybe even composed by King David himself), as performed by the Levites in the Temple of Jerusalem...
      Although I do not follow all the precise musicological steps entailed in how she derived the music from the Te Amim accents, I certainly think the haunting melodies she revealed, speak for themselves...

    wesome! Question if I may... at 0:34 here is one of those biblical depictions showing a fairly triangular harp in the lower right which so many people call a Nevel (so unlike the Mid East Instruments evocation) and which an older, anointed and long-crowned King David is painted playing. Are these all erroneous? If not, one can certainly see where the interesting "Israelite refugees bringing it to Ireland, becoming the Celtic Harp" anecdotes come from. Some sources claim the earliest triangular harps with a column facing out (even if curved) combined with strings going right into the soundboard ata right angle without a bridge arrives numerous hundreds of yearsin Western Europe, so what gives with all of these Celtic Harp-looking Nevels? I'm so confused! Thanks

      @@joshuagerthoffer2321 - everything we think we 'know' is actually always inferred - for example, sometimes, in the case of faint memories we can never truly 'know for certain' if we either remember or imagine something, since in both the cases of remembering or imagining, all we have to work with, is our own internal mental imagery.
      Similarly, regarding what we can ever 'know' about music, will always be limited by how far away we are in time from the music we are attempting to interpret.
      All we really have in the way of 'knowledge', are either convincing arguments for or against any particular viewpoint or assertion.
      The whole purpose of me putting this presentation together of an example of Haik Vantoura's work, was to let you, the listener, make up your own minds as to whether her claims to have discovered the original music of the Hebrew Bible are more likely to be correct, or not.
