Just a note: The frontline guide I referenced is recorded, but I'm not happy with it so will be redoing it and uploading it at a later date.
Also, that mex right at the front of my base that I never upgraded is killing me💀

I know it's probably quite sad for AoE 4 fans that You currently play and create content for BAR more than for AoE but for me it's a pure pleasure. Also I really hope steam release will be huge for this game. There are other great RTS games but I feel BAR for once is focusing more on causal player. It's so fun to play big team games and PvE gamemodes.

Is a Steam release planned ? It can be a really good way to make the game more popular

Yes it's planned, but they want the game to have a certain quality first. There is a road map.

Man the value you bring to a game is insane. I tried getting into BAR a while ago, but it just didn't stick. Having somebody put out daily content that's both entertaining and packed with information made it so much easier to get into the game this time around

I downloaded this game and play it now because of you, you kept popping up in my feed and I needed something that wasn't Zero K and I absolutely LOVE the replay casting it reminds me of what got me into these games and youtube content around them back in my AoE days.

The 1 TS player making all the right decisions to help out his front line, and at really good timing. Giving a t2 con, giving a hound when they're on the back foot. Gotta hand it to him, but the com bomb was super value metal-for-metal!

CTRL + Q to split units! You needed half the units to provide cover for your commander as you ran him in. If you had kept the other half, you would have been able to capture that spot a lot easier! Easier said than done when you're thinking on your feet like that though haha.

If Drongo is a rubbish frontliner then how embarassing must it be to be on the frontline against him and to also be the first player eliminated. By him.

To be fair Drongo's frontline play has improved massively over the past couple of weeks, I can see why that guy got surprised by him here. His first frontlining videos in BAR were not that impressive compared to the stuff he's been pulling off as a backliner but he's crushing it now. And he doesn't even know the hotkey for patrol yet, he's still got a lot of room to improve.
Drongo also got critical support from his backliner and was saved multiple times by the next frontliner over in this game, he was on the ropes after losing all those mexes and probably would have collapsed if his team had left him to fight alone. Making mass rocket bots vs Blitzes left him in a tough spot for a while.

Drongo do you think you could win with a Con and Lazaus heavy strategy?
I ask because I saw a player called Table do just that.
Although, I don't think he planned his strategy. And he used only Construction bots.

I think it was that starting comment about how you're not a good front liner is what did it. You may not of seen it, I don't really know how that all works, but you knew in your heart they thought less of you, and you proved them wrong XD.

Your open is a bit slow i would have 3 blitz leave the cliff opening at around 3:40 and they would just run out the cliff head to the right and follow the edge of the map right in to your econ XD

In the comments on one of your other videos, someone informed me that the recent patch made commanders immune to d-gun; they didn't mention the fact that you can physically block AND deflect d-guns with your commander and defend a unit with that positioning. Nice reply to my criticisms and nice development of defense line strategy.
Your use of the com-bomb is pretty good. I'm honestly surprised players don't use early game flying com-bombs given how expendable they made the commander.

I agree with your assessment about the idle construction bots. Getting energy converters up would have been good; I want to note that "theoretically" any resources in storage are "potentially wasted potential"; in some kind of ideal, you want your energy and metal to be close to 0--obviously practically you want to have usable margins and you're often storing up for econ pushes that will have to happen in sequence sometime in the foreseeable future--but there's an "pure" econ strategy which tries to match build power/time to resource consumption, so by that kind of strategy, you could evaluate the first few minutes of your game here with a critical eye. I'll point out that your metal at first is pretty steady but the energy is vacillating a lot until your commander finishes the energy storage and goes toward the front line; you could consume metal faster early on if you can get both build power up faster and get energy up faster.
In TA, there's reason to use the commander in early game to boost unit production particularly to try and push out the construction bots as quickly as possible; in the StarDoM game you casted, StarDoM does push the construction bots with the commander. Yeah, I checked and in the first two or three minutes of the game StarDoM is using the commander to push out the scouts then the construction bots. Around 3 minutes in that game, the commander departs after having built I think 8 construction bots, but the commander does not depart until he has a construction tower assisting the lab to replace the commander. Obviously, the Flats is a much bigger map so the strategy is slightly different, but I think the general pattern of that is relevant in a more compressed way for you. Those early construction bots are a big part of how StarDoM gets the economic advantage that StarDoM does. Each construction bot/vehicle/plane/ship multiplies expansion capacity and capability; in TA I prefer vehicle labs because of benefit-cost differences compared to units particularly in terms of speed and cost differences; the vehicles are slightly more expensive, but they move and build significantly faster at the cost of a slightly larger footprint (they also had further range in TA). The problem with a construction vehicle rush tends to be consuming resources too rapidly, but the expansion is explosive compared to bot strategies when properly managed. Getting out the early game construction vehicles doesn't necessarily mean committing to vehicles as your combat strategy. I often liked going from vehicle early game to plane construction late game because of build power density.
Also, I see your point about reclaiming fields of debris; something I'd be interested to know is what percentage of those fields are recycle for you (your unit's corpses) vs how much represents resources taken from the opposing commander?
