Nice layout great build. The only thing I don't like is so much wall space is used up by spread out ports and plugs. I'd like everything in a more central place in corners or out of the way
We can do that. This is how the customer wanted his outlets and ports laid out

Love the features in this build! How big is the bed at the very rear, behind the dinette? I don’t like having to make up my bed every day-need a designated setup!
Just checked the cushion order for the sizes. The back large cushion is 43” deep by the 68” width of the van. Very doable to sleep without making the bed
As always beautiful, clean build. I actually love the switches rather than a touch pad control panel. Easier to understand and also no worry about ability to use systems of touch pad breaks. 👍

In 1990 i wanted a VW Westfalia Camper van when i graduated from HS. But my father refused the idea. I called it a swiss army knife on wheels, he wasn't buying what i was selling. Cost was too much & learned they were high maintenance, so my non-mechanial brain said dad's right, again. BUT, I'm 50 ish and my dream of having a swiss army knive on wheels, (everything you need in one design) i haven't stopped dreaming about. I have a new purpose now and LOVE ❤️ your creation. And with the world going mad, i want to leave quickly to places only wildlife live.

This is available in New Jersey
NJ but now in Indiana at the customers home. We could build something similar always

Nice workmanships, I wonder what is the gross weight of this van with all the build out , since there was no mention of the additional air suspension , it seems to be on the heavy side, , the 2022 does it have a 4 cyl engine ? ,
The 2022 has the 6cyl turbo diesel . Steve is always mindful of weight and cargo carrying capacity

Yes it’s 100% waterproof made in America material for the shower. And even waterproofed behind it too

Nothing to do with this particular build, but I'm wondering why so many N.American builds don't make use of a bulkhead like many Euro builds do. Makes temp control easier and tons of storage can be made in the bulkhead. Have you come across any in your travels?
Those front seats swivel for more seating and lounging mostly is the reason. Just more options to work, hang out etc. insulated window covers help with climate control too.
I love the openness when the front seats are swiveled.

@@nomadrvs yes, i know, most N. American builds do this. Euro builds often use a bulkhead.

I hate all profit builds van life is for the least fortunate
Some people are not willing or capable of building their own.
At this price not much profit, 40 k plus, for material, labor, shop overhead, much lower than many professional builds
@@paullehto2294correct. Not much profit. We try to make it affordable for people.
Vanlife or RVs is different for everyone. This customers wife retired and he can still work on the road via computer when they travel.
