None of the help to buy schemes work. The real problem with the housing market is properties are being pre-sold to foreign investment funds before they go to open market or investment funds are outbidding potential home owners out of being able to secure a property. Tighter regulation is needed. Pension and investment funds should not be allowed to bid on the open housing market and monopolies it. They also buy apartment blocks in bulk and drip feed them to market in order to keep the demand and market value high by limiting supply. Why aren’t these being investigated?
