    The S1 is perfect for what I like in a bush knife. 5 inch is the sweet spot that I like, and this really thick full tang is very attractive to me. Thanks for the review!!

    I have the f1 pro and it is the one knife I use more than any other. I ordered the regular F1 leather sheath and it fits nicely but I have a Patriot leather sheath on order. Someday I might add the S1 to my collection but presently am anxiously awaiting a Survive! GSO 4.7. Great vid as always!

    What a beautiful knife, it looks a lot like the old Carbon V Cold Steel SRK (that I wish I would have never sold).

    I have the f1 with vg10 I gutted a deer with it last year worked great . Now I like the sheath just risen it under water to clean . That sheath is used cause it's tuff in cold weather won't freeze or crack is it cheap yep .

    Beautiful knife and I like the guard. I would think with a convex grind Fallkniven would send it with a strop to maintain the edge geometry.

    I like the grippy handle. & steel But I would immediately get a custom sheath made..

    I don't undestand why they didn't upgrade the sheath.This is one of the few knives I've never owned. THANKX for reviewing this one

    A very good review, I have looked at this knife, the S1 Pro has interested me for some time. I've been waiting for a few reviews, F1-A1 seame to have dominated the system. I'll try and get to a number of field, game fairs...uk. give one a try and take it from there. take care Stew

    Good review. Seems like the longer A1 would’ve made batoning a bit easier... I’m getting one. Just trying to decide if I want the S1 or A1... might get both.

    Great review. Thanks! Did you ever try the A1 Pro? I was kind of fence-posting on either the S1 or A1.

    Mille Cuori, S1 X , S1 Pro , Or Bark River Bravo 1,25 for the best general use knife out there? Any help please?! Thanks in advance

    • @lloydjacobson1812
      @lloydjacobson1812 3 года назад

      Mille Cuori is the ultimate military knife with out a doubt. S1pro, Br 1.25 are similar in purpose S1 pro will shine when it’s damp or colder even up to or beyond freezing temps as well as not having to concerned about water.
      Br bravo will shine when processing wood 🪵 and is a flashing looking blade just my opinion.

    Great review. I like how you hammered it into the log to hold it firm for various tasks. I note that cold steel equivalent has no protruding tang to hammer? Seems like a silly design blunder.

    I went with the A1 pro after this vid. S1 pro seems great as well, but I like 'em big. :) Keep up the awesome vids.

    Just like the Cudeman MT 1 now, which ist the form i suggested to Fallkniven 2 years ago and which they answered with a negative answer. Ooops. Ofcourse it could be coincedence, but i'm happy to see this more able survival knife now

    Love the look of these new knives, but was a bit bummed to see a vid where the pommel come loose after hard use. Nothing major but just a bit of annoying jiggle.

      I feel you. I'm a righty, but practice handling my things with the southpaw for dexterity.
      Knives and folders are the worst when they're not designed to be ambidextrous.

    How do you feel about this knife today, now that you have experimented with so many other knives to date?
    How does this compare, for you, to knives like LT Wright Genesis or Jessmuk or the William Collins WCSK? What is your preference for a woods knife and your preference for a go bag knife

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  6 лет назад

      It's a heavier knife but it comes down to which fits your hand and what you are most comfortable with. Unfortunately I can only show gear and give my personal opinions and what works for me.

    Aside from the instruction and survival videos, knife reviews are my favorite content of yours, Ben. And that's me speaking as a flashaholic! Just so you get the gist of my appreciation.
    Rock on, brother.
    ADDENDUM: That's one heckuva nice way to make feather curls! Why doesn't anybody do this?! :o

    A great alternative way to make curls. Hammers the knife into a log, and proceeds to struggle making curls. 🤦‍♂️

      Bark river bravo ofc the S1 pro is a nice knife but the bravo is the better knife at least in cpm3v it is better. If you live near salt water get it in Elmax steel.
