These were an original colorway, I believe home version during the 2001 Finals. Posted some pics I found on Discord.
Yes, these were an original/unreleased colorway. Being a huge AI fan growing up, these were the first shoes I recall hooping in... but... this colorway never released. I always thought these were the hottest colorway, but that’s mainly because I knew they may never come out. I was like 13 then. Fast forward 20 years later and I’m too fucking giddy about this release! It’s surreal, the holiest of holy grails.
Correct he wore them in the finals. They released to the public around 2006 along with 10-15 other colorways on Eastbay.

Yep they're OG. I had them as a kid.
@weartesters, after a bit of research there is a SMALL difference, checking on THE google. the I3 logo on his during the 01 finals was white, where on these it's black. BUT, I think there are 2 versions, some of the images from back then show him for home games with the black I3, while the road had the white I3. only difference i can tell.

These were by far my favorite shoes I had from back in the day. Wore them for everything and never wanted to take them off. Iverson had the best swag and i3 still goes hard

So I had this colorway when I was in high school. The only difference was the I3 logo was white. My mom got them for me from the eastbay catalog. One of my most worn basketball shoes from back in the day. I beat them up. It was so nice to see them on your channel, brought back memories.
Glad that Reebok is finally releasing this and might get a pair. Anyone remember the Answer IV slip-ons? They were great as well. I hope they re-release it too.

He wore these in the 2001 finals. My friends and I always wanted these to release but never did since the sixers didn't win the finals. Glad to see they're finally here.
They did release around 2006 on Eastbay. I still have my DS pair

I need those!!! My favorite colorway of the 4s (I love black shoes with white leather toes). He wore them on games 4 and 5 of the 2001 Finals. Great video Chris!!!
These are definitely an OG. Iverson wore these multiple times in that 01 season. Mostly in the playoffs. I think they were part of that 2012 retro release where they had a bunch of team colorways (exclusive to Eastbay) and some of the OGs.
Great review. Always love the appreciation for the Iverson Reebok line in your videos. I thought these ones are supposed to come out June 4th stateside. But I just realised it's a different shoe entirely coming out June 4th. Those will be the black toe "crossover" pair.

Had the reverse colorway back in middle school (one of my fave shoes ever), got the OG recently and grabbing every colorway thats dropping!!!!
I still have the original release. The first time I saw him wear them, it was inverse of these, black toe/stripe. He wore this color way in the '01 Finals Game 5.

Tim Hardaway’s crossover was the real deal. Like AI you knew it was coming but players just couldn’t stop him.
He did wear these in the finals, I havent heard about these coming out in the U.S, and I looked everywhere online on the release date and found nothing, so I am beyond excited to that you have these 👏👏 I'm watching this at work right by the boss because priorities 🙌

He wore these for a home game in the finals. I bought them off Eastbay in 2006 and thought the last 15 years that I had the shoe. They were my faves, the one pair I’d save in a fire etc.
Seeing the ads, it was like finding out a child I raised wasn’t mine. I quickly overpaid on eBay and got them from Taiwan to amend my midlife crisis.
Imagine realizing after 15 years that your favourite pair of shoes isn’t even your favourite pair of shoes.
From Australia. Picked up a pair of these a few weeks ago. Box got squashed but exactly what I got. It's a dope pair of kicks. But still haven't had a chance to wear them anywhere due to lockdown.

Ahhhh! Love these... and damn, Tim was my favorite player before AI. I guess I gravitated to the smaller guards cuz I’m a smaller dude 🤷🏽♂️ but damn AI is a legend!
I bought these as a kid from the Eastbay catalog by accident. I was trying to get the black/whites and ordered these and was so disappointed but still loved them. Yes they're OG colorway.
I wanted the black toe cap because it made the shoe look so much shorter imo, the white toe cap made em look like boating shoes lmao.. still sick tho, I actually have one of the shoes still kicking around somewhere.

I bought these too lol I had to have it. They teased this release back in 2013 or 14 but it never happened. This is the original colorway from the finals game 4 and 5. They did also have the team shoes in this colorway back in the day but the i3 on the side was white.

I had the black and silver pair my senior year 2001 . They were the exact same except all the white was silver
Tim Hardaway went to UTEP which is here from I’m from in El Paso Texas….and his crossover was know as the killer crossover I remember him doing that a couple of times here at UTEP
I was gonna buy these to hoop in until I found out the dmx cushioning was missing. I remember how good the dmx set up was so in in the OG answer 1. mannnnn........

This colorway released on Eastbay around 2006. There were about 10-15 colorways that released. I still have the original DS pair in this colorway. The original has the white I3 on the side instead of black. Original doesn’t have the I3 on the tongue and doesn’t have iverson tattoo on the insole.

This is my favorite shoe followed closely by the 5. These are dope. I think the black toe is an original color but I don’t think these are. If it was I don’t remember. I had the white on white.
I was about to ask where u got em from cuz I went to get em when they released overseas but they wanted 250 and they only had a 8 and 13 left. But these were his PE in the finals. I wanted them ever since, never dropped. But I not sure, but I believe I've seen a similar colorway drop years ago. But could never fund my size

Game 5 in Philly june 15th 2001. Theres one photo where Iverson is taking it to the rack on shaq. I remember the play because of the shoes.
