@@CC-oi9mc Seriously, so many pretentious attitudes in here. It's okay to be nostalgic and to prefer the original of anything, but I'm not sure why people think anyone would know what the classics are today if people did not continue to play, remix, and sample them. That just betrays an ignorance of how electronic dance music culture works, evolves, and has kept relevant.
Just like my grannies cooking. RIP Does the job, not very adventurous, pleasant, bland in parts, hard to finish, but you feel obliged to. Afterwards you really want to go get something actually meaty n spicy n dirty. thanks anyway See you next Sunday ☺️
This sounds plain and sterile. I hear familiar samples, but they didn't interweave or unfolds like in other old works. There is no emotion inside. Sound as nervous finger tapping. Nice, but not envolnwing, more like annoying. I think this is not original brothers work.
I'm not 100% convinced, this is hard track to remix, everone knows it, but the new bass at the middle sounds like a big mistake and is also off key. The rest is pretty similar but with strongest drums, it's enjoyable but that bass ruins the party.
@@RollrightKnights well, I’m sure orbital will be devastated to hear that j. I think it’s perfect, the original was done on a 303 and a amiga probably, and he’s tapped into them at pure 1990, warehouse vibe. I’m super happy it’s not a ‘take’ on it where some no one imagines they can do better tho? Can we not agree on that?
@@johnbuoy1401 it's a slap dash that'll do stick a shit kick, clap and hats sample on, when do I get paid remix. Orbital are better than this. Go and listen to the Lush remixes and come back to me 🙄

Chime really didn't need a formulaic tech house remix. As is always the case with these things, it just smooths off all the character of the original and reduces it to a generic bare bones tech house track that sounds as boring and pointless as the rest of them. Snare rolls and white noise drops - Yawn! Also, the bassline that comes in at around the 3 minute mark is completely out of key. Get in the fucking bin.
Listened to the entire song and the video never loaded. One star.
This is my favorite track of all time ....
Rather than releasing new material, I would love to see every track on every album remixed, remastered, and given a new lease of life.
I'd rather they didn't, these 30 remixes have been shockingly bad
@@RollrightKnights I respect your view but I like them.
@@64-Bit-Gamer I respect your view too, but there's none of the magic of the originals either.

my dad showed me orbital when i was young, from the box, and to this, brings back good memories of painting with him
Out of all the Old Skool remixes I have been hearing, this has to be one of the best...Amazing job!
Timeless classic. I was in London in '91 and went to the Notting Hill Festival and so many DJs were pumping out Chime! It was awesome.
Superb remix
I LOVE ORBITAL....and WILL FOREVER!
Me too
Love this - just putting it out there - Dr Who deserves a revisit , one of my favourite things I've ever heard Dr Who into Chime
Would be amazing to see if they could incorporate something from the latest version of the show's theme. It's got a mad bassline on it!
Hell yes!
Dr? Is one of their absolute worst tracks 😔
One of the best transitions I've ever heard
Love It!
Excellent, a classic revisited and enjoyed once more 🧑🚀
Ahhhh, Wow! You guys the best,
Absolutely bonkers BANGER C 😅 right up my street

Crystal and Orbital jamming together? interesting.
Same, Long Beach, CA was awesome!
Thankless task here by Eli but what a respectful effort. How can you really go to far from perfection? Well done Eli.
EXCELLENT REMIX !
1996 Pink Pop Festival in NL - we will never forget! 💓
Love Orbital, this remix is amazing!😊
Bangin tune 🔥🔥✌
Bit of added DJ thump - love it😎
Not a bad remix, I enjoyed the added bass for a bit in the middle. My favourite version of Chime is still "Son of Chime".
Fresh remake. Love it.
What a great mix, it reminds me a JMJarre mix of Oxygene 8, Love you Orbital!
It’s quite good. But it’s hard to make chime bad. I want MORE
Chime Forever

❤️ it. X.
Super 🚀🚀🚀🚀🥳🥳🥳🥳

Timeless! Thank you for the drift :) EDIT: @2:44 WHOA! That bass... Oh yeah!
Another nice gift for the fans. Thanks to all for this classic track and great remix.
Fucking bullet proof cron techno right here.....all aboard the last train....

Outstanding, another great remix
Noice!!
This is NOT a remix. It's the iconic and classic Orbital with some house beats. Go for the original!
💙💕💜
I love this remix 😊🎧
Wow
This better be good….

Maybe it's just me, but it just kind of feels like a techy construction kit remix with the samples on top of it...

Sadly, like a lot of their output since around 2000, vastly underwhelming. I wish it wasn't so, but that's the truth.

While I agree that this remix is not very good, it's not an original by Orbital but a remix of their original work, in this case by Eli Brown.
For this time i find that remix banal
Jee ok
I thought Martin Ikin - Back In Time is better then this remix.

Lame lame lame. Just adding a kickdrum does not a remix make. Boring and safe. This isn't how Orbital's 30th anniversary should be celebrated.

What an awfully mediocre visualisation vs the great audio. Even VLC can do better without trying :-( [Audio -> Visualistations]
