I just purchased an ultrasonic cleaner myself for my refurbishes and best decision I have made this year. Take care.
Since I got the cleaner I have used it for almost everything.
Not so sure about the cleaner. Dish soap or carb cleaner may have done better.
I wouldn't recommend putting carb floats in an ultrasonic. Especially the older soldered ones can develop pinholes at the joint, but I've only seen it happen a few times while some folk swear by doing it. So, take my word with a grain of salt I guess
I hear you, if the wall thickness is thin enough the ultrasonic frequency will make pinholes. I would also not advise it.
Not much better than a hard rain.....
Not impressed with the cleaner, did you heat it at all? I think Evaporust would do a much better job and I’m sure it can be used in ultrasonic machines
How often can you reuse the new cleaner in the ultra sonic cleaner because of the cost of buying new cleaner fluid can get expensive
It does get quite expensive, I would say the cleaner varies on what you need cleaned.
Put in some handy Andy next time you use the it . Maybe that will give better results.
