Yes they are. I’ve not got many I lost a lot last year straight off the loft. I think I culled number 14 this year and that’s the only one I lost this year.
Mating closely related birds is inbreeding . Whats more important is whether they are healhy and show no bad recessive traits . Are they giving you good times ? All the best from the land down under .
Well . Yes I think about it . As I’d like a kit of birds that are all the same. That way they should all fly as good and at the same speed as each other..So I guess that would be Bulling the pair and just floating the eggs under many feeder pairs. Trouble is the egg pairs would be 10 or so days apart. That wouldn’t be too much.
Moatside Lofts I just decide to do it that since the other has similar characters being same bloodline in darrens birds case I just wanna preserved it just chow it is
From what I’m reading ,I don’t think so because your breeding from the related birds anyway there for not creating anything new. But just hoping to breed good from already good.. I could be wrong I’m only now finding out myself.
@@svenhoek.6095 just found this. “ inbreeding in pigeons is desirable, especially from a show standpoint,if a fairly homogeneous strain is to be obtained.” homogeneous meaning : Of the same kind, alike.
@@jmayes36 ah ok , so it basically means to perfect the breed for colouring and markings etc and not create a separate strain from the breed 🤔 Its all very confusing 😕

Yes I think it’s ok . I just wouldn’t put brother to sister from the same nest ,but that’s just my opinion.

I thought that inbreeding the birds was how you create a bloodline 🤔

@@jmayes36 I'm just going off what other fanciers have told me in the past so I'm just speculating myself ...... suppose everyone has a theory 👍
