Just saw this video while searching for info on set-ups/assists. I'm not a drifting expert, but found I can drift with my wheel (TMX with really low Force Feedback - 17%) pretty easily on dirt. Been practicing on Bloomfield's figure 8, but have done it on other tracks as well. I experimented with just about every setting for suspension, differential, and assists. I ended up with all assists off except Stability. TCS bogs it down requiring downshifts. It's doable still, but keeping RPMs up is a chore. I kept stability on because it doesn't resemble STM in other games. It more resembles adding extra wheel center spring and rear toe. It simply wants to straighten the car out on acceleration, but doesn't seem to affect turn in like locking the diff does. It doesn't bog the car down at all like a game like Forza does. Obviously you figured out soft suspension making it more kind to sliding. For the diff, I found you can go from full open to limited in the middle. Full open allows to to control the drift with the wheel via over turning and counter steer since the car rotates much easier. Smoother drift, but a lot of wheel work. I found add the middle of limited slip, I could control the drift more with the throttle, but had a tendency to overturn. In fact, I struggled with the counter intuitive over throttling to turn and slow down. But it was pretty awesome when I got it right. I was more consistent with open, but slightly faster with limited. Full locking just left me to struggling to get the drift started and snap oversteer spins.
Idk how the physics work in this game but you want to get as much speed in 2nd(3rd at most) gear and downshift to first, turn the wheel, tap the handbrake and keep the revs up to keep the wheels spinning. Then correct your steering and move gracefully around the track
I’ve been watching since 2k
I've been told to put the saturation of the wheel to 45 maybe try that? This game feels so weird the wheel randomly freaks out when drifting

Ooooo nice drifts by the way my e46 got 1507hp waiting for. You
sounds like funs
treerexaudi Official it is I’ve had it since he showed his it’s awesome I’m lil better at drifting and car looks better

physics where
Appreciate the video...game needs better physics but thanks for the video❤
Idk but you hold the handbrake down wayyyy to long and kill your speed and your not cutting into the corners right.
Ahhh fail to get first!!!
