  • Hi,
    In this video I will show you how how to install a Samsung Electric Range - DIY.
    Also I will show you how to connect 3 and 4 wire Range cords to the Electric range.
    Because I have in my kitchen 3 wire range outlet I installed 3 wire range cord. This is why I did not remove the ground strap when I was showing the installation of the 4 wire power cord. Cut the ground strap then insert the ground screw into the power cord ground wire terminal ring, through the ground plate and into the frame of the range (Read and Follow Manufacturer Instructions).

      Is there any reason you have to cut the ground strap instead of removing it altogether? My manual also says to cut it but I would like to keep the strap in case I need it in the future.

    Why did you leave the bridge (ground strap) on where the green grounding wire screws in?
    The Samsung directions say to remove the grounding strap when installing a 4 prong power cord.

      If you have the 4 prong in the kitchen, is it 110 or 240? I think I have the same type range you do but it's not clear what the voltage is! On the on-site is Says L1-120v. GND L2 120 does that mean combined 240? And I'm safe or is that something else? Sorry for what may be obvious for some but not for all. Thanks.

      @@brianb370 Yes it is 240V. All residential electric stoves/ovens with 3 and 4-wire cord connections sold in the US are 240V.

      @@brianb370 120 + 120 = 240. Black and Red are the hots and white is the neutral for the lights and power supply of the electronics.

    Thank you so much for this video. This is one of the few videos that show the weird side loading configuration that Samsung uses for its power cord. One big question though....how do you get the extra room for the 3 prong cables? Did you peel them apart? I tried but after a few inches the copper started to show in one of the 3 wires, so I had to exchange it.

    • @CreativeProcessDIY
      @CreativeProcessDIY  2 года назад

      You are very welcome. No I did not peel them apart. The length of each wire was enough to connect it to the terminal screw. Did you peel wires apart manually? Or did you use a knife to separate wires?

    Too bad he did not or could not lower the range an inch or so, so that it would be at the same level as his counter top. It seems Samsung no longer makes ranges with extended sides so that there would be no (the dreaded) gap where food and liquid will spill into

      Just based off the outlet in the kitchen, if you don’t have the cord that fits the outlet buy one at Home Depot

    Need to rename your search. This is not a slide-in but instead it is a free standing range. A slide-in overlaps the countertop on both sides vs. a free standing that does not.

    SAMSUNG 101....DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!.....I have a practically new SAMSUNG electric stove that has almost started a fire in my home a half dozen times! It has a manufacturer's/engineering defect....the knobs turn on with the slightest touch or bump! It happened again today and I called them again for the 4th time and they said "USER ERROR!" which they always retort to. They'd rather spend $1500 sending (5) technicians out for a non-tech issue, than to replace a $1600 stove...which may cost them only $400 to replace (mind boggling!) ....and adds insult to injury! At this point I'm livid!.....It happened again today and the glass covers I keep on the cooktop when not in use shattered sending hot glass shards all over my kitchen, which are now stuck to the top of the stove and my countertop. Thankfully no one walked in the kitchen at the time, that would have been a travesty! After the first 2 times I told them I wanted it out of my house because I didn't feel safe and they shrugged it off. I have their family hub refrigerator , it 's going out of my house along with the stove and I will never buy anything with the name "SAMSUNG" on it again. When it comes to customer service and standing behind their products, these people are callous and evil!...SHOP ELSEWHERE! Here's one videoruclips.net/video/K2GFZoAW-a0/видео.html with same stove/knobs and a cat actually turns on stove and starts a fire, by the grace of God no one was killed!
