What I love about your analysis is that you are not going with the flow and just hyping up a dude like other channels. You are actually being analytical and looking at this from both the side and providing your honest opinion. Thank you.
Mr Scarlet Report, you are the best Man United channel on this platform. I'm sure you will continue to grow and make our fanbase have a better understanding of football.
I think we need a player who can hit the ground running like Mazraoui did. we have too many young players with potential and we don't have the time at the moment. This season can be still salvaged if we bring the right people in I believe.
I'm not so sure. Season is pretty much a write off. It's the perfect time to blood in players and get them used to the league and ready for next season.
I love your humility my man. I love your understanding of the game but like how you don't take yourself so seriously and get carried away. Stay humble and keep on putting out good content. I think he will come through. He is a kid. Those bad tendencies will be cleaned out or he will get shipped out. I have faith in this coaching team to develop and nurture a young talent. The defensive part is lacking for sure. He is a better one on one defender but his space awareness is not there but then that is why you have coaches. You can't teach size, speed, skill and desire. The rest can get ironed out. He is not the finished product and the money is a tad too much but he will come through for us. As an African, I love having some bad ass Africans in our team. Gives us a little bite and physicality ;-)
Thank you for the analysis. It would be a good idea if you also include a player's injury record in the stats. If his injury record is bad like Mason Mount for example, then IMHO there is no point in pursuing the player. Sadly, it looks like we are about to make another Mason Mount mistake with Nkunku.

Either way we need 2 LB/LWB players. Alvaro should definitely be brought back. If Dorgu is valued at 40M then Kerkez should be pursued as he is Premier League proven.
Good morning. My problem is that we want to sell Garnacho because they said we have no money. So if we have no money, why are they going for dorgu who is costing more than Alvara Carrera?
It depends partly if Alvaro now wants to return - the last recent report I read suggested he was happy where he is. Accordingly, if that report was true, Utd would be better off waiting for the longer summer window, and then trigger the buy-back and give themselves enough time to selll him on. Even better ofc, is if Alvaro were to be sold anyway by Benfica in the summer, so that Utd can just sit back and share in the sell-on

What I don't like about your analysis here is that you are cherry picking moments from a limited number of games without respect to game state to build a narrative. For example, in one of the clips you wanted him to take a potential yellow or red card when they were down 3-1 in the 85th minute when he is Lecce's most important player. You also take him to task for not tracking back in a few instances--but I don't actually know if the manager wanted him to track back in those instances--sometimes players are instructed to stay up the pitch for the counter. The other thing I think your analysis lacked is that we are getting him for a wingback position in an Amorim system. Wingbacks in Amorim's system are not prized for their 1v1 defending when we are in a back 5--they are prized for pressing. So I would have liked to see analysis on his ability to step up in a press and make interceptions--not how he defends as a fullback--a position we don't even have currently. For any potential wingback we are looking at the key metrics need to be interceptions, crosses, ball carrying, and goals. Those are the most important areas in an Amorim wingback. The least important are: passing, and 1v1 duels. We aren't looking for a fullback that can attack. We are looking for a winger that can defend slightly. When we need pure defense we will just play Mazroui or Dalot at wingback.
Spending 40M on Dorgu already makes it difficult to turn it into a great signing, because of all the expectations from a Man United player. That aside, not wrt to the quality but wrt to "the profile", it is exactly our squad needs. Physical, quick, young, ball carrier and versatile who plays multiple positions. If he can develop more composure and tactical acumen, he could also feature as a LCB (like Dalot did against Rangers at RCB). He will be a utility player for sure, but the same would be an excellent signing if it was 25-30 M
40m euro is 33.6m gbp. Which isn't too expensive in today's climate. It's about what United should aim for per player maximum. No more GBP 50m+ players. Those kill the finances.
guys do we forget that we sign Amad for a similiar amount? pretty sure we were blown away that we spend that much on someone who hasnt made a senior debut at Atalanta
He's a good and versatile player but his price tag especially now that United's finances are in shambles makes it too much of a gamble. Just buy back Alvaro, who'd probably have better resale value and wait till the summer to get the perfect and preferred WB for the system.
He’s going to be a top player. This is the exact profile United should be targeting tired of these “proven” signings coming in and doing nothing but getting huge wages.
Is it possible that the Glazers have a connection or relationship with source of their initial loan used to buy the club? This £60m interest annually could well be going to the Glazers as well with the original debt remaining at a constant!!
I think if Alvaro Fernandez was a player Amorim was keen on signing, we would 100% without a doubt trigger the buy back clause, as he's way cheaper. You can say that he's better value all you want, but Amorim clearly doesn't rate him since we're trying to sign a player in the same position, for £20m more.
I agree we should not overpay, but the problem with Alvaro is he is more of a fullback Good defencivly but not much in attack , we should search for other options
@@assaulter2385Alvaro is really good in attack actually. He makes all the forward runs you'd expect of an attacker and has technique and first touch to beat a press, and he's much, much better at passing then Dorgu.

For me, its a big NO given the prices being quoted. Dorgu is not worth 30 or 40m today. We need to learn to move on to option B or option C. Napoli wanted Garnacho and moved on to option B when the price wasnt right...we need to learn to do the same. This thing where we fixate on a specific player has made us pay alot for fake players. Thats how we got to paying 80m for maguire and anthony all because we couldn't move on

Some of his red flags like lack of drive and footballing intelligence cannot be coached. I think its best we stay clear of this player. His fees are way overpriced for a mid player
Scarlet just managed to knock off 10M from his price by uploading this video! Seriously underwhelmed by this signing as I've seen enough young defenders in France, Germany, Holland and Belgium who can do what Dorgu does and cost between 5-15M max! I've always felt the recruitment team at United is poor as they go for silly, obvious targets that are lazy to scout! Bruno Onyemaechi just left Boavista for Olympiacos for 2-3M and he is as good or even better than Dorgu! Just like ETH, Amorim has joined a big club and has lost the ability to scout properly and buy cheap options that can work! If they overpaid for Dorgu and he flops ,he will get it worse than Zirkzee from the fans!
Malacia is on sale, Shaw is always injured which other LB does united have? also a buy back clause doesnt mean it automatic, the player has to also agree to the deal to come back. Why should Alvaro want to come back when we almost destroyed his whole career?

Some of his red flags like lack of drive and footballing intelligence cannot be coached. I think its best we stay clear of this player. His fees are way overpriced for a mid player
I trust ur opinion.. I just hope we find a better fit than him..
Rem that he's playing in serie A and not EPL....he's still young and not that talented...don't overhype him please
Nuno Mendes, Milos Kerkez... Now those are players we can go all out for.. not dorgu.. Lecce are trying to fleece us..
With amorin he will learn to get back by force 😂
I would like to see him at Manchester, particularly to play at RWB. Amad should plays as a 10.
RWB?
We are looking for a LWB Mr
@@directorme6669Alvaro for LWB
@@directorme6669 He can play both roles.
@@Muriithi1 we are specifically looking at him for the role of LWB not for RWB! We haven't had a LB (at least a natural one) for 18 months now
@ he's not a natural LB though.
Great we singed another player that might become good....
4m player at best, but when united come knocking increase the price smh. City would have gotten him for 18m
C’mon every LB makes all these errors
The kid is good and moreover suits the Amorim system
But how many left backs do we really need at Man Untd? We even have a buy back clause for Alvaro Fernandes who is doing expectionarygood at benfica
He will probably play RWB given than he also plays RW.
Malacia is on sale, Shaw is always injured which other LB does united have?
also a buy back clause doesnt mean it automatic, the player has to also agree to the deal to come back. Why should Alvaro want to come back when we almost destroyed his whole career?
alvaro is not an LWB but an LB, he would flop
Alvaro is not a wingback and the most important thing is he doesn’t want to leave benfica. Give it up ffs
United needs a keeper all else we can live without you cann9t play without a keeper
That's true " Patrick dorgu " is a naive defender but he does has an attacking threat .. oh the game of soccer what a mess .
We should just be picking from our youth otherwise when we buy they are sht when they arrive
