Hi there..I'm from Sri Lanka & the Original Baila Version of this is very popular among us, & one of my all time favorites :) This version is so touching, it really brought a tear to my eye
VIVA MUMBAI, THIS NUMBER IS REALLY A PEICE OF WORK. SHOWS THE PASSION FOR MUMBAI IN HER VOICE. MEETING USHA IS ON MY TO DO LIST. IVE BEEN A FAN SINCE CHILDHOOD. SO USHA IF UR LISTENING PLEASE OBLIGE. ILL BE BACK TO MUMBAI IN OCTOBER 11
Such a beautiful song and thanks to Usha Didi for her efforts. Mumbai taught me a lot and shaped up my life. Today I owe a lot to this place. I wouldn't have reached this position without Mumbai. Mumbai meri jaan. I love Mumbai. Nice video thanks for uploading.
there is only one Magnanimous city in this world and that is my Bombay, my Bambai my Mumbai :) Truly the best city in the world....tears coming in my eyes as I am watching this truly amazing video :) Jai Bombay Gram :)
Although I loved this video and this song, I really felt that most of the celebrity clips seemed more like them complaining about how inconvenienced by the delays they faced. Maybe it's just me. Kudos to Usha Uthup, though. Beautiful song.
@nairsandeep1 @nairsandeep1 You seem to lack the intellect to understand the irony in my post ! While it is one thing to proclaim in such songs what a lovely happy family we are, if you just scratch the surface you will find that every bombayite (especially the marathi ghati's) has something nasty to say about other minority groups in Bombay, be it the madrasi's, the UP bhaiyas, or more recently the biharis.
beautiful new version.. still prefer and remember the original old one but both one full of pathos the other full of life!!

Very well done. Hats off to all you Mumbaikars. This song takes me back to the 80s. Usha Iyer is still the Only One.

Back in the day Usha Iyer sang at Talk of the Town at Churchgate, Mumbai.
