Reason being, through Divine Intervention, the Almighty cast upon Mariam's(Mary) womb a life(nabi Isa) that Mariam delivered painlessly... without medical or midwife assistance. So Mariam functioned as the host, the vehicle for Isa's painless birth. My conclusions are: 1-Ibrahim is still considered as coming from bani Israil eventhough he was born in Ur, because bani Israil, in the very sense of the word, are those begotten by Yakoob(Jacob)...from his lineage, regardless of which place they were born & raised, and does not refer to any one specific country or expanse of land. 2-as for Isa, indeed he was born among the Jews, but genetically not a Jew. Reason being, he is a life breathed by the Almighty(Allah swt) into Mariam's womb, and not by physical contact between Mariam & Yusoff(Joseph). Eventhough nabi Yusoff is from bani Israil, he did no physical contact with Mariam. i.e. if today's genetic technology existed and used during Yusoff's time, Isa will not have any of Yusoff's nor Mariam's DNA. I like the intention to see the Jews as fellow believers. As for them being 'good' people, they are like everyone else - imperfect human beings. Then Isa. He was born among the Jews but genetically not a Jew, right ? Reason being, through Divine Intervention, the Almighty cast upon Mariam's(Mary) womb a life(nabi Isa) that Mariam delivered painlessly... without medical or midwife assistance. So Mariam functioned as the host, the vehicle for Isa's painless birth.
My conclusions are:
1-Ibrahim is still considered as coming from bani Israil eventhough he was born in Ur, because bani Israil, in the very sense of the word, are those begotten by Yakoob(Jacob)...from his lineage, regardless of which place they were born & raised, and does not refer to any one specific country or expanse of land.
2-as for Isa, indeed he was born among the Jews, but genetically not a Jew. Reason being, he is a life breathed by the Almighty(Allah swt) into Mariam's womb, and not by physical contact between Mariam & Yusoff(Joseph). Eventhough nabi Yusoff is from bani Israil, he did no physical contact with Mariam.
i.e. if today's genetic technology existed and used during Yusoff's time, Isa will not have any of Yusoff's nor Mariam's DNA.
