Everything in God’s mind centers upon one place, city, and word, which is JERUSALEM.
When Jesus told His disciples and us about the future, he built every word around one spot on earth: Jerusalem. All that He says about His second coming is tied to Jerusalem.
Jesus said keep your eye on Jerusalem.
I am ascending from the Mount of Olives (the center of Jerusalem then and now) and returning to the Mount of Olives.
According to the Lord, the end of the world centers around Jerusalem.
The most mentioned place in the Bible is a city called Jerusalem.
The center of the world and the prophetic universe is the same city.
Jerusalem should be your favorite city. After all, it's the city that God has chosen for Himself in 1 Kings 11:13: “However I will not tear away the whole kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of my servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.”
Ancient maps put Jerusalem in the world's center, and I think they were right.
Jerusalem is also God's timepiece. The final events of world history will culminate there with Jesus Christ's glorious return to the Mount of Olives.
Jerusalem is a crucial place mentioned over 800 times in God's Word. In Jerusalem, God promised Christ's coming as the Lamb of God to Abraham. Here, David was promised a future son with an endless kingdom. It was here God has worked. In:
Jerusalem! Three thousand years of lifetimes! Abraham and Isaac upon the altar of Moriah, a stone's throw from here! David, the shepherd-king, is watching Bathsheba from a distance. Jeremiah, mourning for the exiles. Jesus, teaching in the Temple. Peter's betrayal. Jesus, walking the Way of Sorrows! Dying with forgiveness on his lips. Peter, shouting the good news in the streets on Pentecost! He has risen! Call on His name and live forever with Him!
But this week, Jerusalem showed up alongside that four-letter-word (IRAN) I mentioned two weeks ago, which continues to capture my spiritual attention in the news reports. When Iran attacks Israel, and then Jerusalem is added, that is huge on the radar screen of God’s plans for the future. Remember, Israel is the barometer that indicates when storms lie ahead for this world. Israel is God’s timepiece for telling prophetic time.
That is the problem that the Old Testament prophet Zechariah (12:3) calls the heavy or burdensome stone. Please stand with me as we listen to God's Word:
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it (KJV).

The time has come; Old Covenant going to Jerusalem is long gone! We are under New Covenant. Jerusalem is not central for unbelieving Jews no more.

This is the Jerusalem prepared for the unbelieving Jews if they repent and accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour. It is for all who believe by faith in Christ. In Christ there is no Jew nor Greek Gal 3:28,29. Dispensationalism falsehood of Jesuit Francisco Ribera make the separation, bringing Church back under Old Covenant of separation, Jew and Gentile! It does seem though, that the old Jerusalem still features in a number of end times prophecies, as the New Jerusalem( Rev 21) is not till after the Millenium( Rev 20) where Christ reigns on the present earth.
@@pingupenguin2474 if so God has 2 olive trees and 2 different way of salvation. According to Rom 11 God only has 1 olive tree. From Old Covenant pointing to the cross of Calvary Col 2:14-17 nailed to cross and abolished. To those who accept Christ by faith ( Gentiles) engrafted into the same olive tree. The unbelieving Jews are broken off from the tree because of unbelief, however they individually can be engrafted back into their own olive tree from which they were broken off and Gentiles engrafted. Dispensationalism is not of scripture but of the traditions of Catholicism the sea Beast of Rev 13:1-10.
The literal nation of Israel has nothing to do with "the Israel of God". "For they are not all Israel who are of Israel". "And if ye be in Christ then are you Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise". This "Jerusalem" refers to the new city of Jerusalem that comes down from heaven after the 1000 years. The saints are all gathered at the last day and brought to heaven to the New city of Jerusalem, where they reign with Christ in Heaven for 1000 years. The earth is made void again and the wicked are destroyed at His coming and live not again until AFTER the 1000 years when they are raised in the 2nd resurrection and Satan will be loosed to deceive them and that is when they will encompass the camp of the saints, the new Jerusalem, not this earthly fake and very well deceiving nation of Israel. There are not even any tribes that exist. John Barnett's prophecy is nothing but a bunch of Jesuit smoke being blown , deceiving many. It is Jesuit catholic teachings called futurism and dispensationalism created by Jesuit priests Alkazah and Francisco Ribera. It is a complete lie.
Let's pray for them, Rev 18:4 who has an ear will come out of Babylon and that we be Sanctified by the truth that we not be sifted out and they take our place as what happened to Israel, Gentile Christians took their place!

@user-uf3st6fc7g I know what you mean, but most will see your observation as replacement theology, when in reality, was not replaced, but grafted in, whilst the Jews as a nation were plucked out. It is and always been about Jesus Christ, the old testament pointing forward to Christ as a shadow and the new testament containing the substance that is Jesus Christ. It is all about being "in Christ". I know you know this, but for those who are less understanding, I wanted to clarify the understanding. God bless.
