I wish that game developers won't forget what really matters when creating a game. It must contain heart, soul and you have to feel the love the developers had for it. I wish, that there would be more games like Terranigma out there. It's still a masterpiece and I'll always play it a couple of times each year to remind me of the good old time back then.
i tried to listen to this theme and study at the same time. but my mind couldn't ignore the feelings of my past adventure and the bitter aftertaste it left
For me the 16 bit era will always be the golden age of rpg's. Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, FFVI are all brilliant games. The music is so memorable too from those games.
@@kimetsu_kids What the hell, you just spoiled it! Yes, the game is 91 years old, but no one is forced to play it, i just got to the 3rd chapter, man.
everytime i hear this song as i was a little child i feel me like this terranigma-boy, alone in a cold world, on a mission to rescue my lost friends. great track.
I remember when I played it first.. after I came out of the village and heard that song.... I just thought "WOW!!" Even today the best Overworld theme ever heard
My Top Underworld Themes: 1. Final Fantasy 4 (SNES) - Underworld 2. Terranigma (SNES) - Dark Side Field (what you're hearing now) 3. Legend of Zelda (NES) - Underworld 4. Final Fantasy Adventure (GB) - Cave Theme 3 as played in "Ice Cave" or "Dime Tower" 5. Legend of Zelda Link to the Past (SNES) - "Dark World"
I am lucky enough to own the original of this, shame my dog sat on the box but the manual and cart are mint as new, I was into rpgs when they were for nerds and proudly own Phantasy Star 1-3(couldnt afford 4 even though I wanted it) Mystic Quest, Illusion Of Gaia, Ultima 4, and before that grew up on text adventures(I was a teen in the mid 90s) so it says a lot that I liked them before they were popular.
Just the cart, I am in the UK so back in those days imports were about $150 even older games unless you got lucky with a independant store I do have the black label and Greatest Hits PS1 version as well.
I have Phantasy Star 4, the best Mega Drive game of all time ;) i started way back in the day too, when Rpg games were obscure with the amazing Breath of Fire 2, i have a neat collection too, some good games like Lufia, Illusion of Time, Final Fantasy 6, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger...I'm from Spain so i know how much diificult was for us Europeans to play these gems in the day, importing was expensive as hell, but man playing these games were like, oh fucking great.
My top 5 games of all time are 5. Xenoblade Chronicles 4.Morrowind 3. Chrono Trigger 2. Majora's Mask 1. Terranigma. This music just gives me the best memories.
I just cant resist to download this epic ost to mi cel tunes. When I remember that fantastic ending a tear escapes of my eyes. Yeah! I raise it in the top of the Snes games, it joins to fantastics names like A link to the past, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI. I love this game, the last gem at the best console ever. What sweet memorie.
Amazing song... I never got to play this game until I was 14 due to it not being released in America. Then I discovered emulators. Fuck yeah, emulators.
This game actually did have revolutionary gameplay at the time. Sure, you still had to grind somewhat but that's just an integral part of action RPGs. Quintet/Enix mixed it up though with different attack types that had different levels of effectiveness when used on enemies. There was also the very unique inventory system. It was easy to navigate and it was nice to have everything neatly arranged and ready to go. There are other things as well, but it's been so long since I played.
i noticed, all the new games for ps3 or pc..their sound is biggest fuck... the old soundtracks were much much better then today...!!!! awesome Sound !!! LOVE IT !!
terranigma had good music. What made me sad was the ending when the character turned into a bird and flew off and said he would be reborn again. I almost felt like he killed himself to be reborn again. Also chrono trigger is square and terranigma/illusion of gaia/soul blazer is enix. 2 diferent companies. Sure they are fused together now,but this was before they were fused.
@axnasia1 The story is your opinion, I think that Terranigma did a great job with the Story. I actually never had to grind in the game, but I've heard that its a complaint with others. Once again, your entitled to you opinion, I get mine too.
@Satadrian We were talking about the music, and trust me when I say that CT>TN. I can go as far as saying Terranigma, the game in general, doesnt even come close to Chrono Trigger in all aspects. But that's not saying much...Terranigma is still one of the greatest RPG ever. And oh yeah....Crono > Ark ^^
@axnasia1 I have to disagree with you, I agree, in the sense that Chrono Trigger and FFIII (or VI, depends...) are two amazing games for the console (CT is my personal favorite). However, if CT and FFIII are the 2 best RPG's for the console, Terranigma is a close 3rd. The story is amazing, and the gameplay revolutionary. The music, is still third to CT and FFIII's amazing soundtracks, but is amongst the best 16-bit music EVER. Just my opinion, and you are certainly entitled to your own.
FUCK,!! I LOVE THIS GAME WITH ALL MY HEARTH!!! i can remember when i complete it.... i cried xD at the berruga´s plane, when your friends.... oooo fuck i was the saddest boy in the world!!!

@CommanderCobalt We agree on the music part but I completely disagree on the story and gameplay part. The game started out as something unique but quickly degenerated into save the world crap once again. While CT and FF3 were also about saving the world they accomplished it about a hundred times better than Terranigma. The "revolutionary" gameplay of this game can be summed up in one word - "grinding". Grinding for the next boss.
100k views!! Thank you all very much for this milestone on this beautiful game ❤

That Underworld map theme hits different. One of my all time favorite soundtracks on the SNES.
i tried to listen to this theme and study at the same time.
but my mind couldn't ignore the feelings of my past adventure and the bitter aftertaste it left
Anyone else used to just stand around so you could listen to the music? This I think is my favorite track, of many great ones, within this game.
this and overworld are the most sumptuous of all the tracks I would say. Beautifully structured
For me the 16 bit era will always be the golden age of rpg's. Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, FFVI are all brilliant games. The music is so memorable too from those games.
Dont forget FF4 and FF5! Very passionate jRPGS
아크가 첫 항해를 시작할 때 푸근한 마을과는 너무나도 대비되는 시리도록 차가운 지저세계를 잘 표현했음
Truly an unforgettable adventure.
I loved how the upper and lower side of the background moved with you when you walked.
They recreated the feeling of seeing the interior of the planet, its fucking amazing.

best overall music in a game ever. So many great soundtracks.
Épico....Nostálgico 🔝
The feelings this music evokes are staggering.
I played this game a few years back in college on emulator, but listening back to it, makes it feel like I played it when I was a kid
A genius woman composed this theme
This music is simply powerfull. Whoever composed this piece of art, he is a genius!
this is the most epic song EVER!!!

Just awesome. This game is superb and its songs too !
FANTASTIC!

I still can't believe that this is on SNES.
I love this song. It has such a strong feel to it.
@19Imperial88 Agreed, it was the same Nobuo Uematsu that put the same type of grandeur from CT in the Final Fantasy series.
Esse jogo é sensacional trilha sonora fantástica.
@Re1Mu2R3 good taste man. gotta love 600 Ad (wind scene) as well
true, it is such a beautiful tune.

In the words of HCBailly: "Anybody who says they don't like the world map music in this game,is a liar."
@RetroHunter06 Agreed dude. For me it's CT(Wind Scene)>FF7(Main Theme)>Terranigma(Underworld)
nostalgia
this is what makes terranigma
i miss this, i feel i wanna play it again
This theme is just fuckign awesome... so sad that we must leave underworld so early :(
This shit is sooooo coooooool!, it's literaly being in underworld!
Oh shit. I completly approve ! ( Sorry for bad english )

Most of the music is awesome in this game. Even the Birth music that HCBailiy called "Happy Baby Music!" :D

I wish Enix would be still Enix, since they teamed up with Square they became shit :c
What you mean shit , Square is the owner of Final Fantasy 1-10.... Enix ruined this saga.
***** That's what I'm Meaning too
That's what I mean, Enix was better when they were Enix, Square was better when they were Square
