I saw this show years ago and I was sitting in the front so I got bonked in the head with a pillow. One of the performers came over and apologized, it was a funny moment.
Saw it this weekend at the start of the new North American tour. Stunning to see such acrobatic, athletic, musical, technological, and design elements working together to create an overwhelming artistic impression. So glad that smaller cities and their surroundings now have a chance to enjoy Cirque shows in the arena staging.
Today in the morning my grandpa passed away back in Colombia, where I am from. Today in the afternoon I saw the Corteo show in Seattle. Needless to say I cried almost the entire show, even though I am sad because I can't be there to say goodbye, the show and its story gave me a way to think about my grandpa's life, his happiness and think about death in a different way. Thank you for your shows! You never know what they mean to someone❤
I saw them a couple nights ago and they were absolutely fantastic. I loved the feel of the performance, it’s wonderful to be able to see how much work goes into each show.
I saw Corteo with my family when I was tiny tiny! We went more for my parents and older sister. Young me was lost when it came to the story, but was in awe of the music and the incredibility of the acts. Corteo has stuck with me ever since, and I’m always overjoyed to see videos like this!
the issue is these show are sooooooooooooo technical that most people would literally turn to goo the second they start going into details, but i agree I have so many unanswered questions!
Watched Corteo in Glasgow few days ago. I loved it! And I want to see and to know about every performers in the show! Thank you for your hard work! God bless all of you!
I can't wait to see this show again after 5 years! It is my favorite show of yours and I really would love to see what's changed once it became an arena act!
We saw the show this past weekend in Connecticut... It was funny, colorful, breath taking, beautiful, captivating, wonderful, so entertaining... Fantastic!!! We loved it!!!
Hello, my name is Yelzhan, I am 17, I am from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 . I want to connect my future with Cirque du Soleil. It was my dream when I was 10 y.o. I saw more than five shows including Ovo, Luzia, Reflekt, Crystal, Corteo..... And all my surrounding people know that I love, want, ADORE Cirque du Soleil. I can firmly say that I know most of the shows, their music, stage structure, design, artists roles, performances, and even secrets on the stage and backstage. So what I want to know: What faculty I should choose to work in your company, it will be better if I would work at creating new or refreshing old shows- cause I know how it works. But I will be very happy to any job in Cirque du Soleil. Unfortunately my parents didn’t allow me to go to gymnastics or circus art. So I would like to be a creator or producer of the show, or making promotions of the show. Ofcourse I learnt how to juggle on RUclips( I can only with 3 balls), learnt how to dance ( because from my childhood I played the game Just Dance, but all that I can, doesn’t compare with the level of Cirque du Soleil ( your performers are great ). Ok, I will ask again: What education I should have to be at Cirque du Soleil team?
Yelzhan I Observing it appears to be your skill set. Some shows use roller skaters, in this one there was a whistler, almost all of them have forms of acro and gymnastics. The question should be what education will get you the skills you need
