Happy Belated Birthday Robert! You got yourself a nice birthday gift indeed The other good thing of them being stored in AZ is you won't find any mold on any of them... ;-)
Wow, that shirt brings back great memories. Once a month my father, who was an audiophile, take me with him to Peaches to buy an album. That's where I bought The Wall when it was released. Too cool.
It's a wonderful feeling when you get given a load of old records, the excitement of looking through them for the first time to see what you have been given, such a thrill.
"200 Records Showed Up At My Doorstep!". I am definitely using that line one on the Mrs for the next RSD drop. I am already practicing my surprise face.
And another link is Surrealistic Pillow. Apparently, Garcia is playing that guitar lick on "Today" on that album. And you showed a Dead Album obviously but also the Purple Sage thing too
My rule on purchasing records is why am I buying them. If for me the more I Will spend. If for my booth I can’t pay more than $2 if I want to break even. I Haven’t started doing online sales (yet) and not sure I want to put the effort In. Probably need to since I can’t stop buying vinyl
Probably not the first here to add this, but that is most likely the first version of Zep II that they cut to replace the RL when they had to pull the RL because it was making needles jump. According to Ludwig himself, it was cut from a cassette! I have heard a Presswell copy from the same time. Yes, that immediate recut is TERRIBLE. And I went in intending to give it a fair shot, assuming the horror stories were all exaggerated. They were not. Apparently the later George Piros cut is an under-the-radar gem, though. Happy Birthday indeed!
I have a Piros pressing. It's pretty good, but I bet there's better out there. I just couldn't believe how bad this Monarch pressing sounded. I can definitely believe that it's from a cassette.
Funny, my record collection began in nineteen eighty-something -- but none of what you mentioned or showed in this video is in my record collection (although some of them have been -- I just carefully curate my record collection, and have since I started collecting).
Merry Xmas Robert. What a fantastic deal, with many excellent albums. However, you mocked the Whipped Cream lp by Herb Alpert. That is a VERY rare lp. If you traveled through our solar system, planet earth is the only place where you could find this lp !!!
I picked up that dark side of the moon, styx - pieces of eight, and zz top - el loco from your sale last week. Neat to see the story of how you got them!
I love that White Mansions record. It's Waylon Jennings and Jesse Colter and a few others in a sort of concept album. It's similar to The Legend Of Jesse James one that Levon Helm and Johnny Cash did. Good stuff.
I have 39 Jim Reeves records, 4 CDs, and 1 7". He deserves better than being a mailer protector. By the way, Aja is still the greatest record of all time.
My wife took me to lunch yesterday and I thought of you, Robert. Why you ask? They had Steely Dan on - the whole time we were there. 1 hour. 1 hour or Steely Dan. It was painful.
@@RobertFithen Yeah, I still have the booklet. Seems like there may have been posters too. I'm not sure. They included posters with some of their early albums, but they are all in a box now, not sure what came with what.
@RobertFithen They're definitely linked. I listened to a podcast about the Dead last year and there was a segment on them, but I can't remember the exact details
You know I was actually dying to know if it was a 1st press of Jefferson Airplane. I realize you were being sarcastic but I am nosey and nerdy in equal measure.
We have so much in common, i don't care for Steely Dan either and i enjoy letting everyone know about it, i also think Love Forever changes is really overrated, i prefer their other stuff
I’m so glad they made it there safely it was fun to see what was there. I had forgotten most of it.
Thanks again! I'm listening to the Kinks live album right now.
@@RobertFithen I wish I could fly like Superman!
Happy Belated Birthday Robert!
You got yourself a nice birthday gift indeed
The other good thing of them being stored in AZ is you won't find any mold on any of them... ;-)
Thanks! That's true.
I need “Barbara Joan Streisand” and “Stoney End” - the band Fanny played back-up. 😊. And Whipped Cream! Great homage you did there!
Craig needs more love guys... www.youtube.com/@CraigsVinylPlethora
Wow, that shirt brings back great memories. Once a month my father, who was an audiophile, take me with him to Peaches to buy an album. That's where I bought The Wall when it was released. Too cool.
I had a similar experience with Co-Op records as a kid.
You got Aja!!! Congratulations!!!
I moved 2000 records when I moved from Pennsylvania to Bullhead City . AZ .
Great deal! The Buckinham Nicks pays for your shipping costs!! Lot of other good things for the money you paid
❤ Craig. Who would ever say anything bad about him 🤷♀️.
Love the Tangerine 🍊 Dream soundtrack to Sorcerer & the movie 🎬 is excellent as well.
It's a wonderful feeling when you get given a load of old records, the excitement of looking through them for the first time to see what you have been given, such a thrill.
Absolutely!
"200 Records Showed Up At My Doorstep!". I am definitely using that line one on the Mrs for the next RSD drop. I am already practicing my surprise face.
Don't forget to show this video and say "it just happens sometimes. See"
@@RobertFithen I have a PowerPoint presentation at the ready. Just waiting for my laser pointer from Amazon to arrive ;-)
happy birthday robert..nice presents...
peace..rocky
Thanks!!
There has to be some diamonds among the stones. :)
I would gladly take the "It's A Beautiful Day" album off your hands!
That Chicago album was probably 10 dollars in the shipping alone.
Amazing video. First time commentor, long time subscriber lol. Happy birthday!!
Thanks! Nice to hear from you
Haha… the Dan haunt you again… if only you’d been wearing the Rosemary’s Baby tee shirt when you pulled Aja out 😂
Happy birthday Robert !!!
Thanks!
And another link is Surrealistic Pillow. Apparently, Garcia is playing that guitar lick on "Today" on that album. And you showed a Dead Album obviously but also the Purple Sage thing too
I started laughing when you were talking about DSOTM seeing what was coming next
Happy Birthday Robert, Gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag🎉
Thanks!!
What a great collection--that was so awesome of Craig to do that! 💕BTW, I love to collect Barbra so if you ever want those LPs off your hands! 😊
If you're ever in the St Louis area, they're yours!
Awh how kind of Craig! Happy birthday to you ! 🎉
Thanks!
Happy belated Birthday!!
Thanks!!
Absolutely fantastic Robert have a great day ❤😊
I could use some LOVE as I have no LOVE .....awww man no LOVE for V 😉 ............very cool of Craig to let them go to you.
I now have 3 LOVEs, two vinyl and one digital.
Cool Tangers album

I've already made my money back with many still left.
Buckingham-Nicks is a great album. The Fleetwood Mac sound before Fleetwood Mac’s sound.
Omfg that's so many!!😮
Happy Birthday!
Amazing.. I get junkmail.. for someone else😂 many thanks Robert!
wow how fun ,Happy birthday

There's one place where you can see the entire store with album covers of it wall-to-wall.
I picked up that dark side of the moon, styx - pieces of eight, and zz top - el loco from your sale last week. Neat to see the story of how you got them!
I wish the ZZ Top was in better condition.
I like that armadillo in your tight jeans !!! NICE !!!
Happy birthday.
Thanks!!
I love that White Mansions record. It's Waylon Jennings and Jesse Colter and a few others in a sort of concept album. It's similar to The Legend Of Jesse James one that Levon Helm and Johnny Cash did. Good stuff.
Thanks! I'll have to check it out.
HaPpY nEw YeAr!
Gotta have the whipped cream lp.
HBDMF!
Thanks!!
I have 39 Jim Reeves records, 4 CDs, and 1 7". He deserves better than being a mailer protector. By the way, Aja is still the greatest record of all time.
The spook of Aja. lolz never fails. Buckingham/Nicks were from my neck of the woods, Palo Alto California. That record may cover your costs.
That Buckingham Nicks record is the one that I'm giving back to Craig. lol He mentioned wanting that one.
@@RobertFithen ah, good on you.
Did you find a pressing of The Banana Splits' "Tra La La" song in those piles?
I did not
My wife took me to lunch yesterday and I thought of you, Robert. Why you ask? They had Steely Dan on - the whole time we were there. 1 hour. 1 hour or Steely Dan. It was painful.
Hopefully, at least, it was some of the earlier songs.
There's no way Craig left a Madonna rekkid in a box full of 70s classic rock on purpose.
I'm sending it back to him with the Buckingham Nicks.
I wish I could find the Chicago At Carnegie Hall record set. I have the albums, but the box hasn't survived.
This one had a booklet too
@@RobertFithen Yeah, I still have the booklet. Seems like there may have been posters too. I'm not sure. They included posters with some of their early albums, but they are all in a box now, not sure what came with what.
Admit it Robert! In 200 records, you were hoping for a first pressing of Pet Sounds!!!
Yes, as I'm selling most of them, a first pressing of Pet Sounds would have been great. Lol
I may start buying all of the Pet Sounds I can find and send like 20 copies to you to enjoy!
happy late 30th :) birthday
Thanks!! Very late for 30. Lol
You should try the sons of the purple sage album the new riders of the purple sage got their name from them.
Thanks for the info. I didn't know that.
With friends like Craig who needs any other friends?!
Like most things: quality over quantity
I'm pretty sure Sons of the Purple Sage is a Grateful Dead side project. Or at least a Garcia side gig.
Another comment said that the New Riders of the Purple Sage got their name from them.
@RobertFithen They're definitely linked. I listened to a podcast about the Dead last year and there was a segment on them, but I can't remember the exact details
Racing Cars big hit was They shoot horses don’t they… basically a one hit wonder.. a song about the film of the same name.. but it wasn’t in the film
Maybe I'll stream it to see what it sounds like. I don't want to unseal it unless I want to keep it.
Hey what's shipping to Barrie Ontario Canada I'd take the Bans album, I loathe her but hey I don't mind dome songs, and Al Martino he's great
These days, shipping to Canada is up there with shipping to the UK.
You know I was actually dying to know if it was a 1st press of Jefferson Airplane. I realize you were being sarcastic but I am nosey and nerdy in equal measure.
Me too
It's 0.76.5 cents per so even a dollar is profit
My collection isn’t complete cause I don’t own a copy of the whip cream album 😂😂😂
Where do you sell your records?
At record shows in St Louis and Collinsville, IL.
One of the tracks on Barbara Joan Streisand is written by…. Becker and Fagen.. Steely Dan
Another reason to hate her.
I just found out they wrote a song done by the Mamas and Papas.
$150 to ship???? Were they shipped media mail?
She shipped them through UPS
@@RobertFithen yikes!!!
We have so much in common, i don't care for Steely Dan either and i enjoy letting everyone know about it, i also think Love Forever changes is really overrated, i prefer their other stuff
Robert rounded it up to $155.
How dare you. It was $160.
Lemme buy that jailbreak record
No Streisand? Denied!
A good place for Barbara's box 📦 is .. the 🗑.
It's in the shed.
Ill take that Piano Man by Billy Joel! ;) if you want to sell it!
Will sell it locally. Hopefully you're in the area.
@@RobertFithen im in NJ - I'm guessing not in your area?
I think $150 was fair without having to add extra moola.
The $153 was repayment for shipping that his sister paid. That's not even paying anything for her time or travel, etc.
Who, Pink floyd........Never heard of them,............lol;
Happy Birthday!!!
Thanks!!
