(I.e. some types of fish are more closely related to land animals than they are to other types of fish). Those extra pipe pieces on the amphibious tank are a bug of that tank track mod, a lot of vehicles that used the tank tracks had those added that weren't made super recently.
This doesn't fully explain it but I would say an amphibian has to be able to breath underwater and on land, however not at the same time it can be at different stages of its life. Humans can swim but we cant live and breath underwater so we aren't amphibious. I also don't think penguins can breath underwater they are just birds that can swim so they are not amphibious.

aren't anphibious animals with double life? they started the life as "small fish", living only on the water, then growing up the start to develop legs, but they have to stay hydratated even when becaming adult, cause they can't breath if their skin is not wet. the lay eggs on the water. so dolphin are not anphibious (in fact they are mamiferous like human, they make don't lay eggs), Pinguins are birds, they have wings (tho they can't fly), ley eggs like a chicken would do, but their "pawn" are not like normal birds, they have those things in the midle so they can swim better btw... how after 17 secs after the video as been posted there were already 5 likes? lol
Actually due to Darwin’s theory and modern knowledge every living being is kinda fish. Every living being is coming from a fish so it’s not like there are fishes mammals etc. But there are fishes they divide into 4 ‚groups’ one of them is ‚musclefin’ then they go on land they became amphibians, then reptiles, birds and in the end mammals. Of course there is much more to it but according to my knowledge it is something like this. I may madr some mistakes because i lack some words in english so i used quite literall ‚translation’ from my language.
