Mr. Door said that there are many worlds. Some on top of one another, some side by side, and some inside one another. Dylan Faden had knowledge of the nature of his world. A game. That there was a world outside where we the player were playing his story. The barrier between fiction and reality are thinner than we realize.
It is well known that the Mail Tubes inside the Oldest House send mail to other realities. What if they ended up here in our world? The following files were discovered inside a familiar orange Tube at my local Credit Union. I'll be documenting the contents in this Archivist series.

Its a common comedy trope for wild animals to try and grab food from a picnic basket when people aren't looking or paying attention, Yogi Bear is a good example of this. That may have contributed to the basket becoming altered since it attracts animals to it.

Researcher 2: "You mean we're gonna let them BASK in it's glory?"

Our Archivist sounds like he may want to consider rage applying (send applications to other positions/employers until someone offers better benefits) after the quarantine goes down. He's got great attention to detail, and I'm sure someone would love to offer him regular hours and better workplace safety in exchange for organizing their own archives. My mom did this recently, it's lifted a surprising amount of stress and frankly turnover is going to skyrocket at the Bureau anyway.
I think I have an idea for where he should be by the end. But who knows.
Tuttle’s really losing faith in the bureau. I hope once this series wraps up he gets the life he deserves.

I’d think that a good way to help Ian would be to have Jesse arrange a private meeting with him to help him work through his issues with the FBC.
As for why Jesse would take the initiative to talk to an employee that she hasn’t come across, it could be because that the new Director wanted to listen to annotated reports on the many OoPs and Altered Items that are currently housed in the Oldest House, instead of just sifting through many redacted documents. And picking up on his gradual deterioration decided to intervene personally.
the Berman basket might actually just be remedy's/sam lake's own love letter to or inspired by German myth's and fairy tales in general,
the fairy tale/myth/legend "the pied piper of Hamlin" has a similar ring to the basket, the piper played a song to lead rat's out of a town into the the Weser River, after being refused rightful payment (he told the mayor he would do it for pay) and thus being extorted he lead the children away, where to, well that depend's on the version but most don't see the kid's return,
and it is of course named after the town berman that is the name sake for a probably important.
overall a fair few of the A.O might be references to myth's and fairy tale's, random idea's the creator's had, or served game-play first
for example the traffic light A.O was probably made with the game-play idea of "red light, green light" and the item was conceived by building an object around the idea
the A.O's related to mister Bless and alan wake, the arctic queen, Christmas memory tree, neco statues, & simulacrum are the main ones i can think of that are significant full-stop and not made to flesh out the world and the F.B.C's tendency to be stupid, if curiosity killed the cat then a lot of the extra A.O's are probably meant to show they are willing to get a few cat's killed.
also pied piper has become a metaphor for a person who attracts a following through charisma or false promises so do with that information what you will.

That would be Synchronicity. And yes I am about halfway through writing Cassie's Collection. 7 pages in and haven't even entered her mind yet. It is going to be a Psiking level of length.

to my knowledge yes, it seem's to be inspired by the myth of the pied pipper, which i think is a myth in germany.

Yep it is referring to the city in Germany. German fairy tales and all that.
