- How I Would Learn Yoru if I had to start over in Valorant. I wanted to show you guys the BIGGEST Yoru tip that I think is one of the keys to learning how to play Yoru. I also show more tips and notes throughout the video so be sure to watch as much as you can if you want to learn! Guys remember to tp when ur flash pops, a lot of people can't hear the difference if u mask ur tp with flash sound. My tip is to press teleport as soon as flash bounces of something, then it's 100% guaranteed they'll think it's just a flash

@@fishgamer7334 Also another thing to note, some of the clips had enemies who were affected by Fade's ult. Meaning they couldn't hear the tp or Ult cancel.
I just recently started playing Valorant again, and after watching this video, I realized I was playing Yoru wrong. What I used to do was flash, and wait for the flash to explode and then tp. This usually resulted in me getting one kill, but then I would just get traded. But now, I’m getting a lot more use out of this insane play. Thanks rob!

My big tip would be not to tunnel vision in ult. use those 12 seconds to their fullest, exploring everywhere you can and getting your bearings for when you un-ult.
So often I see a yoru finding someone in his ult, and ignoring the rest of the game in its entirety. They flash their enemy, un-ult, and get shot from someone they didn't bother clearing

I like the fact, that unlike many other yoru pros this guy teaches how to play yoru while he showcases his skills. Really great guy.
5:42 theres a bug with smokes and walls that while they fade they still retain the smoke property of blocking flashes, so even if it looks like it should flash it doesn’t

i feel like yoru has such a high skill cap that playing him in lower elos can be a challenge
but if u are able to maximise his utility he can become extremely useful for yourself and the team
like i first started maining yoru in bronze when he first came out and i found him confusing, but now im a diamond 3 who can play yoru to his full potential ☺️

Agreed, he’s probably the most difficult agent in the game to have impact on consistently ESPECIALLY if you’ve never played him before. But in the right hands he’s really lethal haha
The rework helped too, now in lower elos they will always shoot the clone, so once you reach ascendant i've found big success by just walking into walls. (p.s teammates will think you're throwing)

Ive been a yoru main since release and im now a D3. I got better with him by solo queues in comp. Specifically bc it puts you in that 1v1,2,3,4,5 situation that causes you to think more critically with his utility. And ive gotten very good at clutching 1v5s bc of it. It keeps the enemy on their toes when you're constantly changing locations and fake tp'ing

Well as a Yoru main on low elo I can tell a lot of Yoru mains don’t use Yoru the way I do (and so does rob and many other famous content creators). Keep up the amazing content! :)

I always instalock your if sum1 else hovers over him bc all the yoru's in low ELO ever do is just use the same 1 tp line up every round and have no idea how to use his ult or anything like that🤦🏾♂️
If you were using yoru like Rob and other content creators you wouldn’t be in low elo.

Yeah, youre right about the tp + flash combo, i saw a lot of people not use this combo when entry or attacking, they often use the tp for escape and complain how useless Yoru flash is.
After tp + flash, pls move a little bit to pull out your gun

5:41 this has happened to me before too, i believe if the flash is thrown into the smoke before it clears, it counts as the smoke still being there when it detonates. I dunno

tbh I would learn him in unrated first if you’re scared to play him in ranked. use that time to really learn the ins and outs and all the fundamentals of the character.
I also played only unrated with yoru until lv 45 when we (me with friends) decided to start play comp, currently bronze 3 but often getting matched with silver 1-2. I’ve always mained yoru and regularly get +30k and have a 60% winrate in comp.
I’m probably still bronze 3 cuz i play with my friends who are i3- b1 and when we lose, i lose a lot of rr. Not blaming anyone tho
its kind of fair, he is one of the hardest agents to master and also has the highest skill floor. You really have to invest time into learning the agent to be able to play him in ranked consistently. If you are a yoru main, no matter what elo your opponents are, you should be able to read them like a book. Don't focus too much on mind games and advanced stuff, just get down on the flash tp, learning where to use your clone and properly entrying with yoru. After that, you can slowly work your way to master him

Some people get mad when the person who killed them crouch fires. I crouch fired plat players at when i was bronze and that got them mad because they get killed from it. Their comments to this action was (after they die) "Eww, crouch firing? That's cringe, get good." If it works, it works. They gotta adapt.
A good advantage to crouch firing is not only the accuracy is better, but it prevents people from one tapping you on sight because their crosshair placement is usually at head height. Only two counters here and both are the opposite of what people should do. Aim for torso, or just crouch with them. If you can't beat them, join them.

I love how no one bothers to turn around when you come out of Yoru ult. Everytime I do that, they turn around and headshot me
You can flash in ult. just look back and flick back for a short blindness. Flash bang also makes targets deaf so they don’t hear you. But you could just misdirect with decoy or whatever before you go out. Ult is good to scout and alert where all enemies are and scouting like that.

I’m a yoru main and I still can’t believe that most people don’t even know you can shoot the tp. You can just enter site so easy by setting up your tp in a or b site In pearl.😂

rob I am a Reyna main, but my go to second choice is always yoru! Can you please make a breeze map "lineups" and other stuff because I feel like yoru has maximum potential on such a big and open map! I always instalock yoru on breeze because it's just so easy to rotate or fall back after taking first picks or picking the spike. I also noticed that a lot of people don't abuse teleporting before the tp hits a corner or a set place because that throws off a LOT of people 🤣

I remember a weird bug I had where when I tried to TP it would just not do anything. No broken TP or expired, it would just stop. Usually ended in my death lol
I suggest if u want to clear A or B or C then send your tp wait and then send your clone and tp

is it a setting or did you use a video editor?
I think bind is the best map for yoru. You can combine gatecrash and the map teleports and play around a lot of fake sound cues also you can teleport to the spawn, you can ult from one site and go the opposite in that 12 second window and push with your team to pinch the enemies holding the site.
Interesting, I think Bind is the worst map for Yoru. TP lineups are kinda lacking and apart from faking the teleport there isn't anything specificly good for yoru there.

Tip: If enemies are not shooting your clone, then u can flash and fake clone, works 80% of the time though.

I play yoru in a school tournament. my classmates still haven’t figured out that I have a clone and that the blue thingy headed towards them is a tp, so I win literally every fight and don’t even need to flash bc they shoot my clone then think it was me when I just tp behind them

honestly I started playing yoru few weeks ago and I was like plat 1-2 and I am now diamond 1 , he is SO GOOD. I love playing w him, rotating is super easy with the tp off start, easy entry with the tp+ flash so fun and the clones are so good too I love making strategies with the clones putting them at different spots lol
Based yoru players have more intricate setups than cypher mains
When you are in a smoke nothing can blind you unless the blind is inside the smoke
this helped alot i main yoru and neon and everytime i would tp they would watch it so they would kill me and now that ive discorved this i ranked up to bronze 2 and i was unranked level 27

One thing you didn’t mention was like when you tp u gotta strafe a lil bit cuz smtimes when an enemy yoru does the flash tp they’ll just stand at where they tp which gets me a lot of free kills
Already cleared my mind with the first sentence xD Idk how but I didn't think about the facing direction before u tp and I got into trouble bcz of that or I simply didn't have enought time to kill more players since I had to turn first.

5:42 the flash didnt flashed you and that is some tec.
With Viper its the easiest to set up. Down the orb and flash, the visual of the orb fades but the properties stay a bit longer. So you get not flashed and have perfect vision, while the enemy is blind af.
everytime I exit ult they instantly turn around and kill me idk how the ult is supposed to be used

IKR I main Yoru and I have for a long time and I always see people excepting the tp to be safe and I know sometimes you need to be risky and not flash it but in most cases you should. Another thing I see a lot of people do it trusting decoys to blind people so I like ot tell the team to look away and I shoot it then dodge the flash and a Yoru peaks out XD

If you think you know every trick, you don't know them all. Keep an open mindset for tricks, getting stale is the worst thing that can happen to an agent like Yoru.
it feels like higher elos are more deaf to the ending of yoru’s ult and gatecrash than lower elos
i found a yoru flash on a site breeze and its the most selfish blind you could ever do but it's godly if you have godly aim
