Man I loved this album. Grown up rap from Jehst. Amazing to watch his evolution from The Drifter into certified elder statesman and so glad he's still doing his thing. 🙏🏿🙏🏿
God I love this man, over 20 years of having Jehst on repeat and he’s still phenomenally good. There’s a real melancholy recently though….not sure if he’s had bad times or it’s just reflecting the ageing process.
Been listening to this man since I found “uk hip-hop” or what ever your culture calls it… still got those nostalgic first kicks from alcoholic author firmly embedded. Big love
Finest in UK every album Starting over and over big respect Jehst I'm so lucky to have found your music when life started down a spiral many years before.. at least im trying to hold on the moment.
This is ghastly rap delivered in a nagging, soporific tone that doesn't reward listening. All the people who celebrate the 'intelligence' of this are the kind of people who only know rap to be MF DOOM (all caps, people!) and Dilated Peoples, and yet instead should be forced to listen to Yachty and Sheck Wes on repeat.
I'm wanting to understand your point. Because I agree with you on MF Doom all caps internet guys to be the most insufferable of all. Do you like earlier Jehst and just not this specific tempo/era? That might be understandable. Otherwise, you're definitely off the mark by a long way.
This is hilarious. It's natural that there will be some that don't like this song or Jehst's music which is fair enough, but the rest of what you're saying just sounds like bitter resentment and a bit of a personal projection which has nothing to do with the song itself or the artist...
I'd buy a book compiling all of Jehst's lyrics.
Agreed. That's a mark of a true lyricist. The bars would make just as much impact as written poetry

@@MrElemonator I’m not really bright enough to parse the meaning a lot of the time, I just try and enjoy the mental imagery.
