I am half croatian and I remember driving to my family as a child though a war torn land. You could see destroyed houses and mine-infested landstrips everywhere. 20 Years later it developed into a tourist magnet. It appears like a different country to me now. I am grateful that the local people got a chance to benefit off the tourism and get their economy going again. There are so many beautiful houses now and the locals speak many languages to adapt to the new reality. But I also hope, that the country won´t be overcrowding much more, in order to keep an Identity.
Your so right Croatia is very beautiful, my last cruise from Venice and the Adriatic sea was spectacular and visiting Split, this was when cruise ships dominated and Europe was busing, your last statement visit before the whole world goes down, I'm grateful to the many trips to Europe and visiting some of these beautiful places, it is memories and photos I have to enjoy. Make the most of what you have left tomorrow is another day.
Nice video, my recommendation are; Zadar, Island Mljet, Makarska Riviera, Primošten, Queens beach Nin, Novalja, Island Pag, Rogoznica, Murter island, in Šibenik area- beach velika raduča, Krka national park, Brač, Pakleni islands, Omiš, Saharun Dugi otok, Tucepi, Telašćica national park...
Stayed in mlini/dubrovnik in sept 2020, what an amazing time, time of my life. Would like to be in split this year but its too risky travelling from England. Hopefully next year, fingers crossed. Croatia is absolutely beautiful

In the middle of presenting Split you show videos of another town - Zadar, which should be shown by itself. And yes, the fortress you reccomand has a name: Klis fortress. The country has so much more to offer, coastline too... I think every visitor shall see it for him/herself.
