    This is a good morning for planet zoo fans! Beavers are one of my absolute favorite animals, they’re so important for the ecosystem and their animations are perfect!

      Absolutely agreed! Beavers are some of my favourites.

    Omg this was PERFECT. I’d absolutely love to work in a zoo like this. I’d stay by this habitat 24/7. This is motivating me to actually get in and finish my certification in Zoology so I can get to working in a zoo ASAP. Raccoons are beautiful creatures and so are beavers.

      You should DEFINITELY finish your zoology certification! That sounds like an absolute dream 😍

    I loved WW so far, it's exactly the sort of RP-focused PZ story I've been looking for. I will just note, it's not illegal to keep raccoons in the UK but it is illegal to release them or to breed them, even for zoos

      Thank you for the info! I will make sure to mention that during the tour of this area :) Will definitely need to turn on contraceptives for the trash pandas.

    This is a really beautiful build! I love that wall set you made, and the whole enclosure looks so lush and natural; I especially like the underwater viewing & it’s rockwork 🤩

    This is like my favorite tv show, had me gasping when the injured raccoon arrived.

      Reality TV, but it’s actually real and good and amazing to watch as always!

    This is such a gorgeous habitat Sparrow! While I'm sure many will miss the weekly videos, I'm happy you have this job opportunity, as I'm sure you must be a wonderful teacher! And surely, if you can't supply us with animal facts, you'll do so for your students ;)

      I'm teaching science, they better be ready for ALL of the animal and plant facts once we start biology haha! Planning a video for this coming Sunday still, but then we'll be on the bi-weekly schedule :)

    plot twist!! I think maxine said in a Northumberland zoo video that we aren't allowed to breed baby raccoons in the uk 😢 but I think they're cute enough that maybe... Wesley didn't know that part... 😅or the racoon arrived pregnant before whispering woods knew!! 😊 I find it so impressive how u built this, it's so difficult to have a vision and execute it in the game when working with water and underwater ing viewing... also I love the story in the education centre! I was thinking a racoon needs to go through a bin or something haha, I've never seen one in real life but I know that's their thing 😂

    • @sparrow838_
      @sparrow838_  21 день назад

      Yes, I had another comment mention that it's not illegal to keep them, but it IS illegal to breed or release them. Contraceptives all around, I guess! Wesley is still learning, of course ;) And, re: bins, there's definitely a reason raccoons are nicknamed trash pandas haha

    A beautiful BEAUTIFUL habitat. It looks so cozy and the water fall double pond looks great. Also I can’t believe school is starting so soon 🫠. This is FINALLY my last year of school after 12 gruelling years of hell🙏. I hope your year will be easy going and fun!

    A jam packed episode! Loved how the two ponds came together! I'm working through some stuff for my zoo and this is a fantastic idea that I might just need to use!

      It really was! Using the barriers instead of the terrain to outline your water features is an absolute game changer.

    Here in the uk wild boar are so disliked that theyve been hunted to extinction 3 times. Wild boar mabehed to make tjere way back in the 90s but due to how much they are hated they are neither consodered native or invasive and have no protection. They are threatend with local extinction! Perhaps you could create an exhibit to try change people's views on them?

    • @sparrow838_
      @sparrow838_  17 дней назад +1

      Definitely considering it! Wild boar aren't super well loved in many European countries, as far as I know, because they're destructive and actually quite dangerous. There was a boar attack in northern Poland less than 2 weeks ago!

    • @danonychus
      @danonychus 17 дней назад

      @sparrow838_ that's true but they are definitely safer than alot of large deer species! Another reason for having no protection is because people love to hunt then

    Being called out for often using a great-looking and versatile piece? BRUH. It's also more likely that a zoo would use similar building materials 🤦

    • @sparrow838_
      @sparrow838_  19 дней назад

      It's basically a trademark now haha! Whenever someone asks which wood piece I use, everyone else answers for me 😂
