I think the clock face and the hippo are super cute! I would have loved the alligator with the umbrella as a wishable, he's my favorite part of the ride.
I cant wait for peter pan wishables next month. Alice and the vehichles are still at the parks and disney springs. I live in orlando i saw them the other day.

The penguin, along with the clock, was the one that actually caught my eye and made me want these. They are so cute. I got the basic four in the set. The transportation ones are so cute. I agree the human ones sometimes look a little funky, but the vehicles with faces are just too cute.
These Small World Wishables are adorable. Groovy hippo is my favorite ... have always loved him in all his transitions. The giraffes would have been a great addition to this set and I agree, there could have been some Small World children. So cute, though!
I would love the clock face one but I don't collect wishables. I definitely would have thought they'd have the dolls from all the countries and then I really might have started collecting them because Small World is one of my favorite rides! Reminds me of the hungry hungry hippos haha... oh no, 3 penguins... hopefully u get to trade for the green hippo! This is such a cute set!! Love the masks too!!

Hey pal!! Thanks for sharing your wishables 💖 I don't collect them, not really my thing, tho some are kinda cute. Small world is not a ride we do when we visit. We went on it during our first trip, as we did for everything, but always skip it since. I honestly feel like I'm on an acid trip or something when I go on it. My husband can't cope with it 🙈 likewise, the dolls would make more sense to me as collectibles and what I remember most from the ride, that and the neverending song that makes your ears bleed. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am so sorry!! 🙈🙈
I have an extra cactus and an extra mad hatter Cheshire and Alice if you have any older trades? I started collecting at the end of last year so I’m trying to complete the coco and older ones
I loved this set so much! I was also surprised at first that they didn’t do any of the dolls but I think that might have been to avoid any controversy? Especially with them re-theming Splash and fixing Jungle Cruise I think they wanted to avoid bringing attention to the more problematic elements of Small World (because let’s face it, some of it could be updated to be more culturally sensitive!) the animal characters are a pretty safe bet to include as they weren’t super dressed up and couldn’t really be perceived as racist. I may be looking too into it but I think it makes the most sense? This was a great unbagging! Doubles are a bummer but these are so popular right now you’ll be able to trade easily! You should definitely try to get the cactus he might be one of my favorites from the set!
Yep, that’s a great point!! I always think of the positive global sentiment of the ride, but it’s true that it also perpetuates stereotypes. (I remember so clearly when I went to Disneyland Paris and rode Small World, the United States was depicted as a bunch of cowboys and I remember thinking “What an odd stereotype” lol and well, there ya go!) So much of the Small World merch has been focused on the animals and the clock (and yes, the cactus 🌵) lately and that makes a lot of sense. Good, I say!
@@DisneyKittee I truly think that for the time Disney truly thought they were making something that was a positive representation of all of these cultures. It’s just something that isn’t going to age well and is definitely in need of an update and will probably need frequent updates over the years!! I love the small world merch that’s been coming out recently so I definitely agree that it’s a good thing they’re focusing more on the animals!
