I have one doubt, In a nifty index mutual fund, It will divide the money most of the time based upon the weightage. But if like this happen later also, where this big names are going down this much in or 2 day, then the fund's performance may be impacted.
Then should we proceed to nifty equal weight mutual funds to avoid this scenarios?

How can I not guess, this share is in my Portfolio :-D You are talking about ITC. It also had a similar story, for 3-4 years, it gave very low to no returns and people started making for it, but then it showed its potential in the last 1.5 year and those who sold it are crying now

The weightage of HDFC Bank is pretty good and that's why the stock is consolidating since 2021 now... Even though the price per share hasn't increased but it also hasn't gone down which proves the potential for this stock. The DII would love to buy it cheap and in order to do so a lot of media houses will create panic but it has all the signs of a strong valuation. The price justifies the product and the demand and supply

India has 6.5 cr Demat accounts off which only 4cr are active trading accounts and only 1.25cr accounts do short to medium term investment.

One thing I have learnt in stock market is that whenever it is 100 per cent certain that a particular stock should go up substantially, market manipulators deliberately keep it down so that all retail investors exist from that stock and then after capitulation it will shoot up like a rocket and everyone will then regret their decision to sell. I have seen with Infinite companies, remember whe Relance used to move between 285 to 300 before demerger of their businesses several years back.
