One of these i had very similar was a numatic like this that was the same colour but had 2 power buttons to switch on the motors independently. That meant more range in what you could use the power available with. Only thing letting it down was it was only 110v. I have an even bigger one now from 92 that has twin motor but only one power switch so like yours Sam its all the power - all at once!!
These twin motor numatics really are crazy powerful and well upto the challenge ! You could chuck a nuclear winter at it and it would just laugh at you....well yours would Sam as he's a hooligan!!!!smashing video
Could do with one of these at work, the Karcher Puzzi 1/1? (they're only a couple of years old) are not the best, even more so given they aren't exactly cheap, should've just brought a couple of George's. They can have a powered brush which is interesting but we didn't get it with any of them. I will also say the Kaercher upright was also not that great, the adjustable handle broke and wouldn't stay in any position and the wand was the same material as our round bins, real cheap feeling. We used to have a large twin motor Alltec but it was slowly falling apart and they wanted something they could get in and out of the vans, plus we had a range of Kaercher stuff on test, though they ended up changing supplier (To Diversy/Taski) so the Puzzi's were all we got. Does mean we now have a few Diversey Sebo's and one department has a Taski branded (and in the Taski orange/black colour scheme) little Numatic NX scrubber dryer, interesting to have rebadged stuff.
First I had another problem, the solution tube inside rhe machine was twisted. It's why I just sucked the mats dry. Figured it out and fixed it for doing mums hall. Good shout on the pre soak.

Have a look at the nhl15, dedicated carpet cleaner, that's similar but different. do like the dual suction system
you need to try just running the pump to apply the extraction fluid and use the big head to work it in then switch the vac on
