I enjoyed your videos, I picked up your sewing habit before you demonstrated it! I am going to try to incorporate it in my projects from now on, thank you!

Glad to hear that! Once you learn to sew like that, it comes naturally to you.

I find your videos very informative and easy to understand. I have made a couple sheaths in the past. I am definitely a novice but also tan and have some exotic hides that I have tanned. And a pretty big collection of knives that I want to make custom sheaths for. I would like to know more about how to use them as many are very thin and not too durable. So mostly just for decoration... snake and a couple other things..

I’m happy that you appreciate my videos, and I hope you’ll pick up some useful tricks from them. I’ve used some fishskin for decorational purposes a couple of times, but never snakeskin. I like to keep a wide collection of skins and leathers for different purposes. One of my favourites is red deer, but I don’t come across that very often. But I’ve not yet tried out tanning myself.

@@myableways thank you for sharing your hard won experience with us ... much appreciated. When I was coming up in the trades people were very protective of they're knowledge. RUclips is a great platform to greatly improve the world by sharing knowledge. I hope to be among you one day soon...and maybe I can add to instead of taking from. This is true wealth and progress.

I agree. Nowadays it’s much better to share knowledge so it doesn’t go missing over time. I’d love to see what you do if you decide to start shooting videos of your own.

Hi I was wondering what tool you used to make the holster belt hole?

I have a set of Blanchard oblong cutters. Now, that’s a pretty expensive brand. You can surely find cheaper ones that are also good. But here’s a link to their webshop anyway.
