Hey! I really like your channel it's all about audio! I can't live without music and i'm going to visit my parents soon. They have an old sony sound system with 4 huge passive speakers but the system itself does not work. I have to get an amp but i don't know how many Watts does the amp need to be? Does that matter? Thanks!
Same here! So the watts marking on the speakers will tell you how much power they can put out. If you get an amp with more than that, you have the potential of sending too much power to your speakers which could damage them. But the key most used to ensure safety is the ohms. Just make sure the ohms number on your amp is less than or equal to the ohms on those speakers. I plan on making a video on all that some day bc i know it's confusing.
Hello Simple Cafe E - How do I connect Bose Center Channel vsc-100 (a passive center channel speaker?) to Samsung RU9000 series or a power amplifier that does not have "Center Channel" , HDMI or Optical? I tried to connect it via Mini with HDMI Input and RCA Output and the Bose VSC-100 did not work. Thanks in advance!
Hello, i am planning to get a reference monitor speaker, an auratone 5c ..it comes in both active and passive models, which one should i buy ? I have a focusrite soundcard...
I record and listen to my JBL‘s actives through my Focusrite interface. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to hook up my television to the Focusrite to listen to the JBL‘s because they are amazing? I can do that through my computers. They don’t need an amp and they don’t need a sub. What’s your advice, please?

Personally I think you will have more flexibility with a passive set.
