the video isn't just about sinclair media. It's just a really effective way of making the point that there are far, far, far too few dissenting voices criticizing government these days.
Whether it's everyone watching a local news station being nothing more than a derivative of one channel, or everyone tuning into national-coverage such as cnn, fox, or even (gasp!) the cbc, it just points out how few people can decide what we see, and thus, make an influence on our perspective on issues in the world. And as the video so aptly points out 'this is extremely dangerous to our democracy' no matter where you live.

What is the difference between reading a prepared statement from HQ and reading a story off the newswire? In one the anchor has no choice as to wording in the other the anchor can take some license within the scope of facts. Calling anchors "journalists" is stretching the definition.

@@philtherealdeal100 Where did you hear that? Definitely not true. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, for instance with Dan Rather and the Killian Documents. He was an oldskool journalist though, and he messed that one up big time. These news anchors are just talking heads that read off TelePrompTers. Most producers would never allow them to do their own journalism for prime time due to the potential fallout of getting it wrong. They usually license new stories, from wire sources such as AP, and retrofit them for the on air broadcast.
And, all of their scripts are being written by the U.S. Pentagon

I've stoped watching any type of media and tv all together nearly 20 years ago, and I encourage you to stop too. Brain washing machine nothing else.
That kind of contract should be considered criminal simply for the fact that it can be used to gag journalists who are trying to do the job they are meant to do. I hope the one gentleman's lawyers consider utilizing the First Amendment as grounds for the illegality of those contracts. While this does not involve an act of Congress, Sinclair is blatantly acting to abridge the freedom of these journalists to speak (they have issued a company-wide gag order) and act as they would wish - and using the court system to do so. Yet another example of civil law being used for criminal enterprise.

Even if they signed it , if they brought the constitution with them and canon law, to get out of it better than an attorney, any competent attorney, could sue the attorney that created the contract for fraud.
