Every time you finish using hot water, a lot of hot water remains in the pipes that carry hot water to the end user, such as the kitchen tap. Then the hot water in these pipes cools down. The energy for heating this water in these pipes is lost. It is quite obvious that the boiler should be very close to the end user. Sometimes it is better to use 2-3 boilers, each for its own user.
Thanks for your addition. Normally such close-in boiler is close to the tap, most of the time in the cupboard under the sink. It looks to me that is the intention of using a close-in boiler.
